We did not have reservations for Asheville as we were on a nine day driving vacation from Texas. We arrived in Asheville on a Thursday evening expecting that it would not be a problem to find a nice hotel. We were wrong because everything was booked so we started driving and stopping at hotels each one was booked for the...

They made a mistake with our reservation- had only one room available yet we reserved two rooms. It took 3 days to present us a resolution. Meanwhile, our friends had to change rooms twice. It took 30 minutes to check out at the front desk and 30 minutes to retrieve our car with the valet. They need more personnel and...

Haywood Park is in a good location offering walking distance to many restaurants and shops. However the styling of the rooms is underwhelming. The rooms are large but left you feeling cold. Interesting idea to leave the old department store mannequins around especially since I remember shopping there but they weren't that great. Still left a hollowness on every floor....

I would rate the room 3 stars and common areas 2 stars. The property is tired. Location is best feature, in heart of downtown Asheville. We were informed of breakfast proviso at checkin: both guests must arrive at same time to receive complimentary breakfast. Not the most customer service friendly arrangement.

I have stayed at the Haywood Park Hotel several times and always found the staff to be polite, attentive and very helpful. The rooms are very nice and even though you are right in the middle downtown Asheville, it is very quiet and you'll get a good nights sleep. The thing that really stands out is the location. You can...

After a 7 week vacation, I was eager to get home but traffic on 40 made me rethink this plan. I love the Haywood Park hotel, have stayed there several times but this time I was traveling with my dog, who also wanted a break. I called them originally to ask for a recommendation, and was shocked when they said...

The hotel is in a great location in downtown Asheville. Nicely remodeled historic building and large rooms. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon. They had no valet working. So, we carried our own bags and parked in the front loading zone. At check-in, I requested that the hotel use my debit card for all charges, rather than the credit card...

Talk about service with a smile -- the staff members at the Haywood Park Inn are the most friendly and competent hotel staff we've come across in our travels. When we selected this dog friendly hotel in downtown Asheville, we had no idea we'd stuck gold. As our pups entered the lobby, they were greeted by name by the staff,...

We stayed here for 3 nights to be in he heart of Asheville and walking distance from all the great shops and restaurants and music. A+ location. Staff, especially Stan was always helpful and accommodating! It is an old dept store and when you get to the 4th floor voice says Ladies clothing, kinda fun throwback but...... Our first room...
