Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stopped here on our way back from Key West – older motel in need of updating. Check in person was not friendly or helpful. When we book our rooms 2 months in advance, we requested that 1 of the 2 rooms we booked to be on 1st floor due to knee surgery but when we got there was told none were available. Odd, since we had seen several un-occupied room on the 1st floor by the pool both in the morning. Breakfast is the best thing about this place, but for $95 a night for each room, we felt it was overpriced

I'm sure I have reviewed them before, but after my last trip I am definitely going to choose a other place to stay. My fiance loves this hotel because they have actual breakfast there and the location is near restaurants, shopping and public transportation. Well, our room had no hot water after traveling 15 hours. The cable was horrible the entire trip (4 days). Ironing board was too rusty to use. I paid $100 deposit which I was told would be returned at checkout. I checked out at 6am and the rude man at the desk refused to return my deposit until the room was "inspected". 12 hours later I still had not received the refund. After calling the deposit was returned. I know that the rude man purposely did not do the refund. I have noticed from staying at the hotel at least 6 times over the last several years that the men on the property are very disrespectful to women. I hate to not stay there on my next trip. Their grounds and lobby are really beautiful. The pool area is really nice. But they do not value their customers so I will not be one anymore

Not the prettiest hotel but it was very clean and the beds where amazing!! This was a quick trip to the keys and we wanted to just stay somewhere before heading on down. The price was great , we didn't have any problems with people being laid or anything, we actually walked across the street for a late night snack and did I say the beds where like laying in a cloud so soft and comfortable. Only down was there was no plug-ins around the bed for my hearing pad but we made it work

We booked this through Priceline as a 3 star hotel with continental breakfast included. We stayed 4 nights.
The interior: there was hair in the bathroom floor and dirt in the corner. The desk, I discovered when I pulled out the chair, had drawers that wouldn’t stay closed without the chair propped there.
We left the maid service please sign on the door but never once did someone come to clean the room.
Breakfast: during the weekday, very sparse breakfast- literally only honeybuns and croissants with cream cheese, hard boiled eggs and packets of oatmeal during the week. There was coffee and tea but no fruit, yogurts, juices or bagels in sight.
Upside: on the weekends, it was a nice full menu with scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes along with a complement of bagels, waffles, yogurts and orange and apple juices.
Also upside, the maintenance man responded quickly when we called down about trouble with the T.V. Remote.
All in all, not very happy with our stay.

After seeing the Hotel Impossible episode filmed here and reading Trip Advisor reviews on the hotel website, curiosity took over and I made a reservation. We arrived at 11PM and were immediately shocked. There were people dealing drugs 30' from the front door. We tried to turn around and go in to just cancel my reservation. Turning around was another shock. Crowds of people gathered along the walkways and dope smells hung in the air everywhere. Doors to rooms were wide open and what we could see of the interior was filthy looking. Especially the draperie linings. I went in to cancel and met the high point of the situation. There was a long line so I watched a young dark haired man behind the desk handle their problems. Guests were making ridiculous requests seemingly to get a discount or freebie. One man demanded 6 rolls of toilet paper. The young man remained courteous, professional and efficiently took care of everyone. This happened at 11 PM on 8/2/21 and any hotel owner needing a fantastic desk receptionist should poach this young man tonight! I simply requested to cancel my reservation which he did cheerfully with no questions asked. He wished me well and took the next guest. I never complained to him, just canceled. Granted, I never entered a room at all and simply because of lack of security and sheer terror I left. Guests beware!

I don’t know who’s been eating this place 3, 4 and 5 stars because it’s one of the worst motels we’ve ever stayed in.
The first room’s toilet didn’t work and reeked of cheap perfume.
I had to insist on a different room which they did not want to provide. The second room has functional plumbing - so far - but it’s got the same nauseating smell and I’ve got a headache from that.
The door is so warped it doesn’t close tightly. The electrical outlets are overloaded with five items plugged into a single surge protector type of device.
The nightstand has warped wood looking as if it’s been water damaged in the front of it. And there’s mold around the tub.
Thank goodness we’re only staying one night because this place is AWFUL.

Spent a night here before starting my favorite drive in the U.S.A., from Key Largo to Key West. This hotel is located on Rt. 1, so there’s a little traffic noise but overall it’s fairly quiet and we had a good nights’ sleep. Our room was clean and very comfortable, just a bit dated (time for some remodeling). Two relatively minor problems: room only has a few electrical outlets- not conveniently located- so if you need to charge cellphones and other electronics consider bringing your own power strip. Also, the shower was okay, just enough hot water and the control valve barely works (needs to be replaced). We were pleasantly surprised by a very good “continental” breakfast (plenty of cereal, fruit, breads, yogurt, orange juice, boiled eggs, good coffee, etc.). Very clean and well-maintained dining area as well. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend this to other travelers. It’s not the Ritz, but it’s okay for a decent nights sleep if you’re passing through.

We booked in and it said that they only do cooked breakfasts on fri, sat and Sunday and continental all other days and they said that they only clean your room if requested after 2 days. When I asked why I was told it was because of covid,,, I can’t see how this possibly makes sense as they still go in your room and everyone is still in the breakfast room touching everything. It’s all about saving money! It is evident that they don’t have as many cleaners as the whole place is dirty, having glass tops in the bedroom you can see all of the dirt and the ceiling over the shower was falling down. Less service for more money now!

I was going into the hotel room and seen the toilet wasn't fully clean. I still seen some mess stains inside of the toilet. I had to go and buy some toilet bowl cleaner to clean it. There was only one roll of toilet paper in the room which was the one on the spindle in the bathroom. None no where else. I had to go out and buy some toilet paper on my own from dollar general. They should work on cleaning well and stocking.

This place should be a 1 star motel! My daughter and I came a couple of days ago and our stay was absolutely horrific! The walls were so thin I woke up quite a few times in the night. The smell of Marijuana was everywhere all night long. My daughter complained that the comforter had mold growing inside of it and the room had no TV guide, with limited channels. The supposed 'hot buffet breakfast' was 2 packaged cold hard boiled eggs and squished packaged cinnamon rolls. My daughter and I turned around and went somewhere else it was so bad! The only good looking thing about the 'breakfast' was the oatmeal packets and apples, but even the apples looked bruised. The lady in charge of the 'breakfast' was really rude when I asked a question. I would not recommend this to ANYONE! It is not like the pictures at all. The price was cheap and we got what we payed for.
