The hotel was beautifully renovated and very clean and comfortable, and the price cannot be beat. I chose it for its access to both Biscayne and Everglades National Park, and it was about 15 minutes from the former and 20 from the entrance to the latter.

The check-in was a little confusing, but access to the building is smooth and through two doors— both of which have outdoor stairs, so be advised of that. Each room has its own air conditioner and ours was clean, spacious, and included its own fridge and microwave. There is a designated parking lot, which was very convenient. The hotel is historic and has a very interesting sign outside.

The downstairs bistro had great martinis as promised, and we walked to both of our dinner spots which were both also delicious!

Highly, HIGHLY recommend this place!

We would highly recommend

This historic hotel was very well maintained. The location was within a reasonable drive to several sites like the coral castle and Miccosukee casino. We ate dinner at the hotel, and it was excellent along with the very very tasty martinis.

We found this place via airbnb. It's not the RItz or anything, basic, historic inn with a bit of charm is how I would describe it. Cheaper than most places around and offered breakfast. The room was clean and the bathroom was spotless with a nice smell. No central air but our room had a nice and quite fancy air-conditioner unit in it so that was helpful. Could not get the TV to work and no directions in the room, appeared to be direct TV and maybe have to pay, not sure. Room a little musty but not bad and I would stay again. Breakfast was an omelet and you order it, nothing sitting around in a buffet or anything. Just omelet and toast, pretty basic but it was delicious and worked nicely for our needs.

Stayed at Hotel Redland 2 nights, March 18 & 19, 2023, in room 211. This is not a fully functioning hotel/restaurant/bar as presented on their website. No check-in counter, restaurant and bar were closed. Check-in was with an email received earlier in the day advising that I look in a little box on an outside wall to find a key to get in. Room with comfortable king bed was clean. However, several things need attention and fixes. Bathroom sink faucet sprays out beyond sink and ceiling extraction fan does not work. Slider door to common upper floor patio area doesn't lock! Broom handle in track prevents intruder access but still allows door to open 6 to 8 inches from the outside patio. Coffee maker & filters in the room but no coffee, cups, or glasses! No tv remote, no cable or local channels, only Amazon fire tv remote that would not turn the tv on. Great potential for this hotel, but would have been better to stay in one of the chain hotels in Homestead for about the same price. Don't recommend this place.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Unless of course you don’t want to sleep. My husband and I booked here and nowhere in the advertisement does it say there’s live music directly down the stairs until 11pm every Friday night. They did say it in an email after we booked however. What they don’t tell you is that it’ll be midnight and people will still be yelling and screaming downstairs. Don’t stay here. Ever.

This was one of the strangest experiences. There are signs on the doors inside the bathrooms to not put any paper in the toilet. We checked with the young lady at the desk and she said that is correct not even Toilet Paper.
I asked what were you suppose to do with the toilet paper and she said put in the trash. That was it, my husband wanted to check out. It was very late, I can't remember if it was 9:00 or 10:00 but I was tired and didn't want to begin looking for another place at that hour so I convinced him to stay. This was after she assured me the toilet would not back up if I only used a very small amount of paper. I never had this experience before. The room was small, the bed was uncomfortable. Steep stairs to the room. No, I would not stay there again.

Hotel rooms are sparse. TV was a 25” that was terrible to watch. The fire stick had to be pulled each time you turned on the tv. There is no front desk so never a to reach anyone.
Bathroom had only 2 towels and no mat to use coming out it the shower. The soap tray so soap and shampoo has to be put on the floor. Both had had blasting music in the lobby, right below the room, till !0:30pm, making it impossible to sleep. All this for $170 a night. Total rip off!!!

We have stayed at Hotel Redland every year on our way to the Keys. We love the atmosphere and being a ghosty, the ghosts here are what excite me. We have stayed in room 202 or 203 every year. (Check out YouTube for the ghost hunt in those rooms.)
Don't let the ghosts keep you from staying here. They are not dangerous or mean, they just like to play with people's feet and shut off the lights in the bathrooms in the restaurant.

We stayed for one night on our way to the Keys. The hotel itself is quaint and full of charm. The ambiance is great and you’ll learn some stuff when walking the halls.

The room was small but had everything we needed, except a good bathroom. There was a sign on the back of the bathroom door saying not to flush any paper down the toilet, which is just kinda gross. The shower curtain didn’t reach the bottom of the stand-up shower, so any time we took showers the floor would flood from below the liner. The shower head itself could’ve been left over from 50 years ago, as the water just sprayed in all directions except straight. The same was true of the sink faucet.

The breakfast in the morning was simple but good and had enough protein to get us going for a day venturing through the Everglades on our way to Key Largo. The folks who run the hotel are nice but not overly friendly. Conversations were very short both when checking in and out, which I’m sure some people enjoy, but I’ve had more engaging conversations at Holiday Inn than at this family-run hotel.

I wouldn’t stay here again.

As long as the kids are well behaved and aren’t running around, it is kid friendly! This is fine dining and alcohol is served but theohabe the best burgers in town.
