We've stayed at Longacre twice in recent years while visiting the Appomattox CH Nat'l Historical Park and also taking in the nearby National D-Day Memorial in Bedford VA - a must see for history buffs. Longacre is likely the BEST place to stay in Appomattox, and a very nice B&B. It is stuffed with fine antiques and furnishings from the...

We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast of french toast and saugage was wonderful! Only thing was the bedroom we stayed in could have used some TLC. Rest of the house was beautiful and hostess was very accomodating.

We stayed one night while exploring Appomattox Court House and the Lee's Retreat auto tour. Longacre is a 1933 Tudor house and former home of the town's social doyenne that has been run as a B&B for the past ten years. Our 1st-floor room was once a sunroom, but it makes a charming room (mostly in pink). The architecture and...

Loved it here. 100% recommended by us. We stayed for two nights last week to check out the town's historic sites (also very recommended), then ended up coming back for our last night after traveling further into Virginia for a couple of days. Longacre felt like home after so little time. We stayed in the Maisonnette and then the Manor...

Our daughter had her parents weekend at her college and of course we waited until the last minute. I found Longacre B&B and it saved our weekend. Our room was on the first floor and it was large enough to accommodate a roll-a-way bed for our other teen. We had to check in late and a note with directions and...

Absolutely LOVED Longacre! The Magnolia bedroom was so comfortable and it’s decor reminded me of the Greenbrier, as well as the living room’s. While exploring the grounds, I felt like I’d been transported into a British estate’s garden - everywhere you look there are hidden treasures, such as sculptures and topiaries, nestled within the greenery. The architecture of the house...

We stayed at the Longacre B&B for two nights. We stayed in the Magnolia Room, which had convenient access to the terrace and the garden beyond. The room was comfortable, and the walk-in closet allowed us to act as though we were not "living out of a suitcase". It was our anniversary, so we took advantage of the terrace to...

We had the opportunity to stay one night at Longacre B&B this past weekend. We found it to be completely enjoyable from the personalized welcome note when we got there to the nicely furnished, comfortable room. Rene is an excellent hostess and her French toast is the best. The house is quaint and a bit quirky, but it reflects the...

We loved staying at Longacre. I chose that B & B because I could book it online. The decorating was absolutely perfect, down to the smallest details. Our room was very spacious, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom with lots of space. The 1930's style Tudor was a joy both inside and out. The surrounding grounds was set in...

This B and B is a beautiful 1930s house. The experience of staying here is not all that it should be or could be. Our room was large and the bed was really comfortable but 3 steep steps down to the bathroom with no functioning night light is not a good idea. Some thought needs to be given to where...
