We were visiting Harper's Ferry during a pretty intense snowstorm a few months back, and the Laurel Lodge acted as the perfect refuge. The highlights: - Breakfast. Chris methodically thought through (and explained) each component of breakfast. It was fresh, assembled beautifully, and of course delicious. - The fireplace. Absolutely perfect after a day trudging through snow. - The house... More

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful weekend stay at the Laurel Lodge in Harpers Ferry. We were warmly greeted upon arrival by Chris and given a tour of the common areas and shown to our room. The common areas are very bright and cozy, and the back of the house has an amazing panoramic view of the Potomac... More

This was our second visit to the historical Laurel Lodge. Our first visit was much different - since it was a few years ago and in the month of August. During that visit we adored sitting on the expansive back porch taking in the peace & train whistles. My husband I agreed that we would have to return during the... More

Laurel Lodge was the perfect place to stay in Harpers Ferry - an amazing view from the Cedar Room and the verandah. We were overlooking the Potomac and looking out on the Blue Ridge Mts and hearing an atmospheric train whisle in the trees below. It's obvious Chris and Ed take pride in their enterprise , with unusual gourmet choices for... We spent one night at the B&B, great setting super accommodations, very pleasant owner and staff. Mid week stay, enjoyed the common room, very interesting discussion with one other guest. The setting is very good, a bit out of the way but not that bad. Slow night as none of the interesting restaurants in HF were open, a bit disappointing.

Our children treated us to a weekend away for our 30th wedding anniversary. Laurel Lodge could not have been a more special retreat for us. A red rose, chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne awaited us in our room. Over our two day stay we spent a good deal of time simply sipping wine, content with the scenery from the Cedar... The inn is tucked into a quiet little street with a pretty view. The Lodge is restored with perfect touches. It is pristine clean. The host is gracious and the breakfast incredible. A little extra is delicious home baked treats along with coffee or tea. It couldn't have been nicer in this little rustic town.
