We went as a family with three small kids. The two ladies who run the inn are very sweet, warm, ands welcoming. The location is wonderful, right in the historical Harpers Ferry town. It was neat to stay in a historical home. The breakfast was yummy.

Spacious yet cozy in the Mountain View Room. The room had so much character and great potential for a family of four. Unfortunately, there were a few major issues. First, there is a full-time tenant who lives upstairs with a family and a dog You can here everything from below and the worst part is they smoke throughout the evening...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. My wife, two daughters, and I stayed here Thanksgiving night. We hiked during the daylight and had Thanksgiving dinner in the evening then hiked in the morning again. I felt this place was very reasonably priced considering it is right in the heart of the historic district of Harper's Ferry. We stayed in the...

After a long day on the road visiting 22 unique artisans in 8 different locations, we arrived at the Town's Inn for the evening. This historic Inn (circa 1840) has been undergoing some remodeling and updates, but melding the old and the new quite nicely. We were greeted by Karan Townsend, the Proprietor, when we arrived and she showed us...

Harpers Ferry is a beautiful spot that we thoroughly enjoyed- and could have stayed here longer than our single night. The Town's Inn was perfect for us- or almost so... A quaint old house in which we had a pleasant bedroom with an ensuite. By default (not much else open) we had dinner there too. Dinner was simple but good:...

Our stay at The Town's Inn was wonderful. Its a homey place with guests going in and out. This historic Inn was so much fun to explore. When the sun was out we explored the town and when the rain came we explored the Inn and had a great meal and a beer or two and then retired to our...

A few steps from the National Park historic village in the lower town. We stayed in the stone walled Friendship room - lovely. Proprietor Karen Townsend was very accommodating. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that ordering breakfast was disorganized and even the menu was poorly laid out. Overall staying in this historic building right in town...

My wife and I spent a week in Harper's Ferry for our honeymoon, and in that time we took the Maryland Heights hike. At the overlook, we foolishly discussed the desire for burgers (that certainly stretched out the hike!). When walking through town we stopped at The Town's Inn for said burger and beer, and were not disappointed! The food...

We spent one night in the Potomac Room of this B&B. The house is about 150 years old, but the bathrooms are modern, clean, and the rooms are beautifully decorated. Wifi included, breakfast and dinner are not, although they do serve food (their peach pie was fantastic). The inn is very convenient for the Nat'l Hist. Park, and parking at...

***Rates starting at $120*** This family-friendly historic Inn (circa 1840) is located in the center of the Harpers Ferry living history village situated at the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers, just steps from the C&O Canal Towpath and Appalachian Trail, as well as the storybook train station served by Amtrak and MARC trains. Every day of the year, the restaurant on the first level of the Inn offers indoor and patio dining featuring popular cuisine, including homemade specialties and healthy options. Also on the first floor is a Sundry / Snack / Supply Shoppe which has been described as a "high-end convenience store, a mini-health food store, and an old-fashioned country store with local products." The second floor consists of two bedrooms with beautiful slate-tile private bathrooms. A parlor containing a treasure of books, toys, and games is situated on the third floor, along with another bedroom. Free WiFi is available. Step outside and enjoy river views, river sports, hiking, bicycling, museums, shopping, and more in this quaint town that is adjacent to the Harpers Ferry National Historic Park and surrounded by other national parks, farms, and Civil War battlegrounds. Although located only 60 miles from DC, the Inn is "a world away" from life in modern urban and suburban cities.
