It's not the ritz but it's descent for an overnight in Harpers Ferry. It's the closest hotel to the lower town but it's a bit far to walk to the lower town. Super close to the AT. Clean room and helpful front desk. Close to highway - keep the fan or heat running all night. As advertised- no big surprises.

Stayed twice, a total of five nights. Very good breakfast, with desk staff who know the area and are willing to help push me toward an excellent rating. The lobby is attractive, rooms are simple but clean.

The front desk folks were personable, outgoing and attentive. The rooms were modern, the beds afforded much needed somber sleep that comes from strolling all through historic Harper's Ferry. The cooler air and intimate atmosphere provided the perfect getaway from what are the hectic DC suburbs. My wife and I will return to Harpers Ferry again, and we will return...

We arrived at the hotel on Friday November 6. We went to check and the Front Desk associate Rita was so pleasant and so helpful with us . She is an asset to the hotel with a smile on her face and willing to help guests to answer their questions. Also on Saturday after returning to the hotel the Front...

Last week we on Friday, October 30, 2015 we booked a trip to Harpers Ferry, read all the reviews about different hotels and decided to stay at Econo Lodge Harpers Ferry since it looked like the most convenient, affordable and had awesome reviews. We didn't get disappointed. Everything was great, the food, the location, free Wi-Fi, free parking, breakfast was...

On our 3rd night of biking the C&O Canal -- from Cumberland, MD to Washington, DC -- we stayed at the Econo-Lodge in Harpers Ferry. It was about a one mile ride from the bike trail, so it was quite convenient for us. They allowed us to keep our bikes in our rooms, the beds were comfortable, the showers were...

Spent one night there and came away very pleased. The greeting we got from the front desk was outstanding on our arrival. Our room was large and comfortable. My only complaint is that it needs some updating. The wall paper was peeling and the bathroom needed some work. The breakfast was great and our overall experience was very good.

I really like the Econo Lodges and this one is no exception. Large room, clean. Been very lucky on this driving holiday of the US. The staff (namely Rita and Anne) at this hotel were so wonderful and helpful with directions and helping us find historical sights. A wonderful time was had here. The breakfast was great, you are close...

Pro: Easily accessible Good parking Comfortable bed Has everything that you need to reasonable standard. Cons: Historic Harpers Ferry town is a significant walk, (NB. There is little or no parking in the town but there is a shuttle from a car park a few hundred yards out of town)

This is exactly what you'd expect from an Econolodge. Rooms were clean. Smoking allowed on first floor so expect slight smoke smell. What made this stand out was the AMAZING guest service by RITA at the front desk. She made sure we had a great stay and anything we needed. Accommodated two weary cyclists and their gear. Any special needs...
