We love the Seagull Bay in any season! Stunning views. Small fridge and microwave in every room. A quiet waterfront trail that leads into town for dinner or shopping. Phenomenal value, especially in winter. Don't expect any precious metal plated fixtures or in house massage. Pull a chair to the window and watch the sunset over Lake Superior and you'll...

This is our 8th time staying here for the Apostle Island Sled Dog Races. The owners are amazing and super friendly. Great location right on Lake Superior overlooking Madeline Island. The trail runs right behind the property and brings you directly into town. The rooms are very clean but simple. There is absolutely NO smoking on this property which we...

This is an older motel that is family run. The owners are hardly on-site but do take care of their customers. We had awful neighbors this time and had to deal with a crazy barking dog. I wish they would go to a pet-free hotel, the walls are far to thin to deal with the barking. The views are stunning...

Stayed there several times before, nice view of lake, inexpensive and a great walking path to downtown Bayfield. Friendly staff clean rooms. Good place to lay back and enjoy Bayfield area. We try to get a second story room though ground level is ok too.

We LOVED the Seagull Motel. To clarify, this is not a "five star" hotel like the Ritz-Carlton, but rather just a wonderful base to explore Bayfield that I highly recommend. It just feels so cozy and homey, starting with my reservation. Because of some delay in our flight, we did not arrive until after 2 am, Jeanne had left us...

Very accommodating owners! The main building was full, but they have a second site within walking distance - it looks like a home that's been converted to lodging. Though we didn't have a view, some of the rooms in this building have bay views. It was a little old but okay - and clean. There's a trail behind the building...

Our room was simple and had just the right amenities. Liked the little refrigerator. Loved the lawn overlooking the lake, the walking path to town, hospitality of the hosts. We enjoyed local restaurants, apple orchards and early fall hikes!

This place was like a private home with lakefront amenities. Each room opened onto spacious lawn with picnic tables and grills. Beyond that, a hiking path led to downtown Bayfield--a short walk away. Microwave, refrigerator, wifi---all the ingredients for an economical family stay. Enthusiastic and helpful staff.

We have stayed at several different accommodations in Bayfield but after staying at Seagull Bay Motel once, it is the only place we go back to. Here are the reasons: -the price is excellent for its location; while not right in town, it is a quick and easy walk down the Brownstone Path to town. -Location. I don't want to...

We have stayed here many times over the years and just returned from a great weekend in Bayfield. Seagull Bay is our motel of choice without a doubt. Over the last few years we have stayed at other establishments due to last-minute booking on our part and no rooms available at Seagull Bay. This is the cleanest, tidiest place around....
