Travellers from the UK should be aware that in the US an Inn is not a drinking establishment, it is a Bed & Breakfast. The Jacob Rohrbach Inn is a lovely old building (if it was in the UK it would be listed), run by a fantastic couple; Joanne and Paul. The room in which we stayed (The Clara Barton...

Joanne and Paul are delightful, attentive hosts. Breakfast is fresh and generous, served family style in the beautiful dining room. They are able to provide all kinds of helpful tips about restaurants for dinner, area sights and hikes and much more. Our Jackson room is spacious and comfortable. The JRI is a beautiful Inn and the innkeepers, Joanne and Paul, are very friendly and make you feel right at home. We enjoyed conversing with the other guests like LondonUKTom (see below) and his family and Richard who was travelling by motorcycle. Breakfast was awesome! I loved Joannes blueberry muffins! A lovely place, a charming room, tastefully decorated without being "overdone". All the modern conveniences were available without compromising the essence of the period B&B. Breakfast was delicious and Joann was a most welcoming, knowledgeable and accommodating host. Highly recommended.

The Jacob Rohrbach Inn ticked all of our must-haves when looking for a bed and breakfast experience. We loved having a private entrance and the private balcony with settee and chair was a real bonus! The room was extremely clean and very, very spacious. There were two lounge chairs as well as a table with two side chairs. Couldn't have...

We stayed in the General's Quarters which was perfect for a family of four (with school age children). Joanne shared the interesting history of her historic home during our visit and also provided us with a DVD about Antitetam which we watched before visiting the battlefield. She provided a bunch of options for dinner and detailed directions. As an added...
