I chose this hotel as it promised parking and hotel-wide wifi, my two main requirements. I was rather disappointed when I could only get the wifi to connect when in the car park - hardly the ideal place to work from. So, I went to reception to politely explain the problem. Maybe there was a problem with the equipment or...

Decent, affordable, clean, large-room motel. Near nice walking area. Wireless worked fine. Free parking. BUT NO CABLE TV. I was there election week and during Hurricane Sandy and could not access any national news. I have never seen a hotel anywhere without basic cable. A real disappointment and inconvenience. Would not have stayed here if I had known.

We three (wife, daughter and I) enjoyed our stay at La Luna Inn. Clean, comfortable and convenient. The Lombard Street re-development provides many retro restaurants and shopping venues. La Luna Inn appears to be a favorite stay for many travelers from near and far!

I was surprised at how large this room was for this type of a hotel. My boyfriend and I booked La Luna Inn for a last minute weekend trip. We were meeting up with friends in the city. Both of us were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, extremely large, and a block away from Chestnut Ave, which has adorable...

The rooms were very spacious, we had a king bed on the third floor, bathroom was clean and tidy. Free wifi throughout the hotel. Location was a nice stroll to shops and cafes on chestnut st and a short cab ride to fishermans wharf.

This was the third hotel along our west coast trip, La Luna Inn. We stayed for 3 nights from 4th to 7th of september of 2012, our room was nº 106 and I am going to tell you some advises about this hotel. This hotel has a good front desk and the check-in was fast and their staff were friendly,...

The rooms were clean and spacious, the front desk very pleasant! Even offered to let us use their Breakfast Area, after hours, to scrapbook. The Breakfast was very simple, and we didn't have it the 2nd day. Coffee was the only good part. Parking is included, which is great, but very limited. Walgreens and restaurants are close. Definately a good...

the rooms are incredibly small. the bathroom is small and has no place to set your toiletries. on a busy street, and hard to get into unless you make a convoluted U turn. I wouldn't stay here again for free.

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
