This was my first trip to San Fran so I didn't know what to expect, but I did expect more. This hotel was great even though the room was smaller than some I have stayed in NYC! The staff was friendly and accommodating at the hotel and restaurant. They even had a wine hour with snacks, which was a nice...

This is a great hotel in a fantastic location right by union square. The staff on the desk and the transfer driver were friendly and helpful Rooms were clean and well decorated. What did disappoint me was that the hotel as shown on hotels.com are of the hotel how it used to be - with a highly rated restaurant and...

Dear Peter E, I am so sorry to hear that you were not aware that the restaurant would be closed during your stay. It has been difficult for us to get that information out to everyone. The pastries we have been offering in the morning are just a way to hold people over until they can find a more proper...

This hotel is centrally located, just near Union Square and Market St. The BART subway (Powell St) is close by and the Moscone Conference center is about half a mile on foot. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, banks and pharmacies surrounding the hotel, plus parking garages and a couple of car rental companies. Although in a busy area, I...

Dear Victoria R, I am happy to hear you had such a nice visit with us. We think our room are well insulated from noise, but some people are more sensitive than others. Overall, I am thrilled that you would stay with us, again. Let us know in advance of your arrival and we can have a coffee maker in...

Many thanks to the staff at Hotel Monaco, especially Marisa and Eddie for making our stay so enjoyable. As requested, there were rose petals scattered around the room and it looked even better than I thought it would!! We knew there wouldn't be a restaurant/bar coming in, so that was no big deal, and motivated us to check out more...

We blew a lot of credit card points to book the Hotel Monaco for two nights (and parking our car cost us a whopping fifty bucks a day), but after more than a week on the road, the Hotel Monaco was a cool, quiet, opulent respite for two road-weary travelers. It’s smack in the middle of the action around Union...

Nice little hotel in the busy and 'cool' area of town - well placed for getting around and seeing things. Furnished nicely and quite a quirky feel. Beware on arrival that the main valet man inside is a real grump! Looked insulted to even be serving us! The reception staff were lovely though and very helpful. We got a nice...

Dear Imogen K, We have been trying to publicize as much as possible that our restaurant is closed and it will be until January 2015. As you mentioned, we do not have room service, available, since we do not have a kitchen to make the food. We thought we would offer our guests a little snack before they headed out...

Very nice hotel with friendly helpful staff. The free wine social hour was fun and the room we had was quiet nicely furnished and a good size. My only gripe was the restaurant & Bar area being under renovation meant no proper breakfast or nightcaps without having to go outside. Yes, there are a LOT of homeless in San Francisco...

Kuddos to Austin, Ethan and Jonathan for making our family's first visit to San Fransisco outstanding. From dining recommendations - Fish and Farm and Jaspers - to navigating the city, they were super helpful. The Monaco staff even helped us resolve a rental car challenge. The lobby and rooms in this Hotel Monaco are quite nice. Just two things to note. 1) the hotel restaurant is currently undergoing renovations. Dear WCDeb, Yes, our restaurant is under renovation until January of 2015. Until then, we do not have a restaurant or bar or any room service options available. We stayed at the Hotel Monaco for three nights in August. Good points 1. The service is first rate. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable.
