I had a wonderful stay at the Vertigo. I originally decided to book it because of the history, the location and the affordable price. The online reviews talked about how stylish it was but because it was so inexpensive compared to other hotels in San Francisco I wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it was. It's been done...

Recently stayed at the Hotel Vertigo and were very pleased! The hotel is very clean and chic (think Jonathan Adler-style) with pops of bright oranges and glossy whites. The baths have modern fixtures, deeper tubs, crocodile-embossed shower tiles, and the rooms (while a little on the small side) have sheer orange curtains, horse head table lamps, and mirrors with '60s...

Great value for price. Could use a bit of TLC and paint. Would really set it a part. The parking is a little slow! Great place to park and walk great central location. Would stay again.

Hotel Vertigo was great for the 2 nights we were there. Our room was on the first floor and looked just like the picture. It was comfortable, clean with a new bathroon. We had arrived straight from our flight from Australia and our room was quiet so we slept well. The view was of an internal wall but we didn't...

Great value for the money and good location to explore SF. Beds are very comfortable and rooms are clean and good size. Only complaints about the room are lack of a comfortable chair and the dresser. The dresser is in the closet and is difficult to access which is annoying during a long stay. There is no exercise room (supposed...

I recommend this hotel for your next stay in San Francisco. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, the decor was attractive, unique and fun. The bathrooms have been updated and have ample room with a large tub/shower. The rooms were quiet and insulated from outside noise. I suggest asking for a room on a low floor so you...

I stayed at the Vertigo for 6 nights begingen Jan 2012. It was my first time in SF and so I looked for a quite central place to stay. Locationwise the Vertigo is placed in a area which is kind of emerging. You will still find a couple folks you don't want to meet but as I understood homless people...

I stayed at the hotel for four nights in January. I arrived late after a horrible flight (4 hours late). The hotel staff quickly checked me in, the room was perfect. The neighborhood is very convenient for downtown and buses, also, a real plus in San Francisco, is that the street the hotel is on is not up a very...

I came to San Fransisco in the off season (December) Hotel Vertigo was a very nice, hip and clean spot to lay our head for the night. It was super cool, the location in relation to Union Square was awesome! There are some great little restaurants in the neighbourhood. I have recommended this hotel to friends. I will add that...
