This hotel is nicely decorated and nicely located. Hotel is very well kept and clean. Walking distance to Union Square and Chinatown. As we love to walk, we even walked to Fisherman's wharf and Castro from there. There is no air conditioning though. As we visited in March it was not essential, but we had a day at +25 and...

Very friendly and kind staff at the reception. I arrived in the morning but I had no issue with check-in earlier than 2:00PM which was extreamly helpful. The room decor was impeccably cute and clean. Bath amenities were organic and so good! In the morning you can enjoy many choices of tea and coffee at the lobby. The only thing...

Our room was on the smaller side but big enough to be comfortable. No ducted air conditioning in our room but the ceiling fan was sufficient for our 4 night stay in cooler weather (April). Great location - close to lots of food places and small supermarkets. We've stayed at various hotels in Canada and USA the past two months...

Hotel Vertigo was in a great location on Sutter Street, about a 5 min walk down to Union Square and Polk Street known for its night life. The hotel staff were friendly. The room was lovely and was very clean. It also had a good powerful shower. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.

Excellent place to stay. Very clean and polite staff. Went for my birthday weekend with my girlfriend and they totally went out of there way in setting up the room for us. Yaneth was an excellent housekeeper she was very attentive with all our needs. I highly recommend this place for anyone to come and stay here. I'm sure that...

Centrally situated, on a regular bus/tram route to the quay area, I found this hotel to be ideal for me. As a single traveller, I want an en-suite room, a comfortable bed, a clean environment and an efficient shower. Here, I found all these. The reception was very friendly and helpful, and although I only stayed for two nights, I...

Stayed here as part of our holiday trip to San Francisco, LA and Vegas. Hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. In an ideal location, uber was only $5 to the water front. Plenty to see and do.

As a party of many, we had a couple of different rooms and for the good and the bad of it, they come with slightly different configurations (bath / shower) etc. The rooms were all lacking proper AC but offered a warm/cold fan. In one of our rooms, the fan broke down in the middle of the night. The occupant...

This was a great spot for our family's spring break trip to San Francisco. It is just a few blocks to Union Square. There are lots of great restaurants in walking distance. I felt safe in the hotel and walking on the street nearby. It was reasonably priced (for San Francisco). The rooms are clean with nice furnishings. The beds...

Reasonably priced, vintage charm in the bedroom, sparkling modernity in the bathroom. The lobby makes a strong first impression, bright and airy, and the rooms live up to it. No breakfast, but San Francisco is hardly lacking for coffee shops. I was happy with my choice.
