We live in the East Bay but often travel across the bridge to spend a few days in San Francisco! This was our second stay with the Donatello Hotel and it was great! You get the feel of being part of the city cause your right in walking distance of everything! The hospitality is wonderful, everything went smoothly and we...

We had a delay to our visit caused by the Icelandic Volcano and the Donetello were helpful and sympathetic in supporting our re-scheduling. They didn't charge us any extra and didn't attempt to profiteer when we moved our dates by 10 days. When we arrived all of the front of house staff were exceptional. They were welcoming, well prepared and...

Clean and well situated in San Francisco this hotel offers great value. The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of major San Francisco landmarks. The only complaint is the street noise during the night due to the garbage removal. Ask Jesus, Bobby (hockey expert), or Mark at the front desk for anything...

We stayed at the Donatello for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary and Mother's Day. My husband booked the room and surprised me with the trip. We brought our 7 month old son so there were a few features of the room that worked great for us. The microwave and refrigerator were a blessing. It helped immensely to store...

We enjoyed our stay at the Donatello. It was clean. Friendly staff. It was very affordable. King size bed. A pull out Queen size bed. Located right in Union Square. Convienient for shopping and Dinning. Only complaint would be the street noise. (they do trash pickup at 1a.m.)

Nice, welcoming staff and a decent room for a whole of €160 for two nights - that's what my first impression of the Donatello was. And they for sure lived up to that. Check out the lounge on their top floor for some coffee (yes, American coffee, yet free ;o) and a nice view. The hotel bar is also worth...

Great central location with Union Square and other shopping areas close by. There was plenty of restaurants close by but hotels own Italian restaurant was excellent anyway! Car parking was expensive per day but so was most city centre parking we noticed. Only room service breakfast was available but plenty of places only a short walk. Our deluxe king with...

We just returned from one week at the Donatello Hotel in San Francisco. The hotel met all of our expectations + more. It was centrally located in the Union Square area, close to Theaters, fine restaurants and transportation. Market Street is a few blocks down and we were able to catch the cable cars and trolleys there. Good shopping was...

When my boyfriend and I showed up the front desk was tied up but they smiled and greeted us silently while on the phone. When one became free we were checked in early and fast. It was wonderful after the long flight to finally be there and to be greeted with a smile was nice. When we got up to...

I was pleasantly surprised about everything at The Donatello. From the amazing front desk help to the wonderful singer in the cozy bar. Two women for the first time in San Francisco - we will be back! We felt both comfortable and safe. The employees made us feel welcome. Underground valet parking. It doesn't get any better than this in...
