We stayed in the top-floor corner suite for a quick getaway and enjoyed the room and the premises very much. I stay in enough generic, commercialized, beige properties through travel in a year. This place has character, both internally and as part of the neighborhood. On-site cafe served a terrific breakfast. Close to Ocean Beach and Golden Gate Park. Definitely...

I just spent a full week at Seal Rock Inn, and I was thoroughly impressed with many aspects of my experience there. This place is Old School, in the very best sense of the term. It has a real personality, charm, aura and presence to it. Primarily drawn to the place because I am a huge Hunter S. Thompson fan...

We stayed here in five years ago and were pleased to discover that the hotel has upgraded the rooms since we were there last. We were in a spacious room with queen bed and sofas that doubled as two twin beds. The room was really a suite, with kitchenette. There was also a folding divider/wall to separate the sleeping areas....

Within 25 minutes of checking into the room, our 2 year old found a red capsule which turned out to be a muscle relaxer. Anyone want to guess at what the consequences could have been if this child had ingested this pill without anyone seeing him? The reaction from this hotel was pathetic and disgusting - They blamed their former...

There were three medical appts. scheduled for over 2 days and late on the first day , staying in SF is such an ordeal so we usually stay on the other side of the Golden Gate , but I just did not want to drive back & forth , since the appts were at VA , I looked for the...

My wife and I stayed here 3nights in Sept 2013 and the only drawback was due to there location food was resigned to a Walgreens 4blocks away.Other than that we'll stay here anytime we visit SF.Nice clean rooms some with ocean views, elevator ,microwave, and fridge.Location was literally at Lands end,but the 38L stopped right outside our motel, and with the help our...

My husband and I spent 5 days this past week at the Seal Rock Inn. If you are interested in a nice, quiet, clean, low keyed place to stay this is your hotel! It was built sometime in the 50's from what I am told and still has the old charm. It is located at Land's End and right across...

This place is awesome! We stayed here for a week on our honeymoon and they catered to our every need. Ocean views, peaceful and all around great price! The housekeeping is fantastic, the bed comfy and it's like a studio apartment :) if you are in San Fran for more then a few days stay here! It's beyond affordable and...

It isn't a five star downtown hotel with ridiculous prices. What it is, is a reasonable alternative. The outside appearance isn't great but the room we had (Ocean view) was large and comfortable if a little dated. There is no air conditioning which didn't matter in early October, and it had a good bathroom along with the usual mini-fridge and coffee...

We had a terrific experience at Seal Rock Inn. The location is five star - just a short walk down the hill to the attractions (Visitors center, Coastal Trail, beach, Cliff House). We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The rates are reasonable (hard to find in SF). Rooms are spacious with comfortable bedding, small refrigerators and...
