It's a fun motel. In the tenderloin. People go there to party. And drink. And hit on girls in the pool. Food good too. It's a basic motel. But it's rock and roll man. Like Starship or Dio. Make a reservation

The Phoenix inn is the only place I will ever stay in SanFrancisco. The rooms, the restaurant and bar, the vibrant cultural atmosphere, the pool, the patio, sitting at my little outdoor table, the outdoor coffee, fruit and pastries every morning. But mostly the people. Every single person on the hotel staff and in the restaurant is thoughtful, caring and...

Stayed here for the 2nd time this year to attend a conference downtown SFO. I like the atmosphere of the Hotel, the friendliness of the staff and the quietness of the rooms. The Location is perfect with lots of Restaurant choices around. Especially the Lers Rois is one of my favorites and it is in Walking distance. Also free parking...

My partner & I visit the Bay Area often as we both have family there. Because staying with one family or another is not a politically viable option, we often stayed on points in the cluster of Starwood properties downtown that are increasingly indistinguishable. But even on points, they were hardly "free," with $60 daily parking and $40 breakfasts. This...

My friends and I stayed at the Phoenix Hotel last week and were absolutely delighted with the very start when the front desk person was extremely welcoming and fun! We were very pleased as we walked through the very pleasant grounds to our very clean, and spacious room. We were very comfortable, but hungry, so we ordered food from Chambers....

Stayed here over the weekend with my boyfriend for our birthdays. We stayed in a Deluxe King room on the 2nd floor and it was roomy and well laid out. We especially loved the balcony off the back of the room; nice to chill, drink and look over the street. The Tenderloin area isn't that bad nowadays but I can...

Searched a a couple hours before finally finding a hotel with good location and self parking, which I discovered a lot of hotels in the area don't have and charge extra. Cool restaurant and very warm pool on sight. Loved the freaky frog sculpture. No fridges in the rooms. Nice decor and extra touches. Friendly staff.

We had our work holiday party at City Hall and wanted to book a room nearby, so we wouldn't have to make the drive home. Based on the great reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided to give the Phoenix Hotel a try and we weren't disappointed. Friendly staff, very clean rooms, comfy beds, central location, and continental breakfast were just...

This was our second stay at the Phoenix and it did not disappoint. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable, the heated pool is awesome and plenty of free parking. Bar and restaurant very enjoyable. Will definitely be back.

A really cool, gracefully-aged and well-cared for hotel providing a nod to the music industry. Safe and clean with wonderful employees providing warm and welcoming service and insights to the city. Wonderfully located. Uber never more than 5 minutes away. Terrific Vietnamese restaurant across street!
