Very good standard hotel with nice big rooms and good gym. Clean hotel, helpful staff, good location close to Embarcadero and the piers and ferry terminal. No pool, if that's important to you. Fast and efficient elevators.

This hotel is very nice with great views. Looked out my window and could see the Embarcadaro down the street and the bay lights dance at night. The drawbacks are there is no airport shuttle and parking is at an out of this world price. If you go 1 block you can find cheaper parking that has someone there all...

Had a very excellent experience at Le Meridien recently. 3 night stay over the weekend, booked a standard room and was upgraded to superior (thanks!) The room was perfect in all ways. No complaints, quite comfortable and spacious all around. The location of this hotel is excellent if you want to be downtown. Upon checkout, the bill slipped under the...

This is a very stylish hotel located in the business district of the city. This means it is very quiet in the evenings and at weekends which was great, especially as we were there for the Pride festival. It is a 10-15 minute walk to Union Square but only 5-10 minutes from the main ferry terminal if you are looking...

I stayed at this hotel for a few nights with my friends and we enjoyed our stay. The location was great, the hotel was clean, and the rooms were huge with a partial view of the bay bridge. I found the bed to be very comfortable too. We used the gym and it was really nice for a hotel gym...

Great location. Minutes walking distance from North Beach. Comedy club kitty corner to hotel. Walking distance to Ferry Building. Restaurants abound! Transportation five to ten minute walk - heck everything is walking distance from this fabulous hotel with amenities fit for a King! Price range is a bit high, but standard for the neighboring hotels. very nice atmosphere. Never had...

I stayed here for one night during a business trip and was thrilled with this beautiful, modern hotel. Every aspect of this hotel is top notch, from the accommodations (comfortable, large), to the staff (warm and professional) and the hotel environment (centrally located, sophisticated). For a business trip, the small features like complimentary WiFi in the lounge made a huge...

I stayed here for business and enjoyed my one night stay. I loved my room on the 20th floor - it was super quiet; the bed was comfortable, the pillows were endless, and I slept well. I loved the touches in the bathroom - double sinks, plenty of counter space, and makeup mirror, but I was a little surprised by...

My wife and I stayed at this place during our last time in SF. The location is quite convenient and the bed was heavenly. The only downside is that the rooms were not in the best shape (if you look into the painting and that sort of stuff). However, the service was magnific and for sure we loved our time...

Family and I just completed another outstanding stay at the Le Meridien in San Francisco and loved it. We arrived to a newly remodeled lobby and were promptly greeted by a courteous desk clerk who welcomed us to the hotel. She suggested we also check out the recently remodeled bar / restaurant "333" which was beautiful. Our room was on...

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
