We greatly enjoyed our stay at this hotel in the San Francisco Financial District. We were able to walk to Pier 33 for the Alcatraz Tour. The rooms were large and well appointed. However, the parking fee was quite high for each day that we stayed.

Perhaps one of the worst hotels that one can expect from a high end hotel. Here's why 1) Staff can be rude. I left one of my toiletries in the bathroom when I was transferring rooms. When I told the front desk I left something, a staff named Chris called housekeeping and said they found nothing, but only based on...

Thank you for sharing your recent experience with us, we appreciate your feedback and sincerely value the opportunity to improve. The interactions you describe with our staff are both highly unusual and unacceptable. Being that we welcome so many travelers, our team is well versed in the processes and procedures associated with Lost & Found items; I assure you that...

The hotel's location makes it convenient to most of the tourist and business areas in the city, many within walking distance such as The Ferry Building, China Town, The Embarcadero, Union Square. Rooms are nice, modern, clean. Only complaint is the ridiculously high overnight parking rate for hotel guests - $62. Leave your car at the airport rental center and...

Le Meridien has something for everyone, I can't think of a more complete hotel than this one. Comfortable, accommodating, centrally located, great staff, great food, great setting. Went here with not too many expectations, left feeling very refreshed and rejuvenated!

Room was clean and spacious and we got a high room with a great view. It was great that you could open the window partially to get fresh air while sleeping. The hotel is a short walk to the Ferry Building, Chinatown, a little further to the North Beach district, and close to one of the cable car route stops.Just...

It is a nice hotel with good view if you get the bay view. I got a upgrade and the room was awesome, very spacious with comfortable bed. If you are in SFO, then le meridian is the place one must choose. One can never go wrong with this hotel.

I stayed here for a weekend while visiting SF. I had booked a room with a King bed but when I checked in all that was left was a room with two doubles. As someone with status, I was a little surprised that I hadn't had a room reserved for me, let alone the type of room I had reserved....

Attended the ZAP conference and stayed at Le Meridian which was the conference hotel. Concierge Laura was most helpful in locating where we could purchase the paper three day Muni pass. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Towels are plush and ample. Lovely breakfast buffet, great granola and Greek yogurt, scrambled eggs, assorted meats, potatoes. Lots of pastries, Portuguese rolls,...

Check-in and concierge were super friendly and helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable and room quite modern. We even had breakfast at the hotel which we rarely do and found the French toast amazing. I have no complaints about this hotel, other than wishing we could have stayed longer.

Lovely place. Excellent location If you are lucky to get a bay view room it's an incredible feeling starting out at the Pacific. Great front office staff Esp. Tesla, Cindy and their Boss Troy. Great idea to give complimentary coffee to all guests at Bfast time. The bar always humming with activity and David there always helpful. A must visit...

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
