This is our 3rd visit to the Marriott Fishermans Wharf and I am delighted to report on the room renovations which have taken place. Our room was on first floor and on this visit I managed to use my dreaded hate/fear ie the elevator. The hallways have been decorated and new carpets fitted. This gives a very nice impression whilst...

My husband and I decided to head to San Fran on an almost yearly trip but instead of August which ends up being pricey, we went in March. Not only was the weather beautiful but the price for the hotel was much more reasonable. We really enjoyed the Marriott, the room was spacious and clean and the bed was so...

Dear littled6607, I am delighted you enjoyed your stay! I am also happy to hear the feedback on the Netflix service. That is a new service we just added during our renovation. We look forward to having you back on your next trip to San Francisco.

Nicely located within easy walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf and far enough from the noise and activity of the Wharf. The hotel is clean, nicely furnished and the service is outstanding. It has a restaurant and bar. The rooms are standard size and the bed was excellent. This property exceeds the Marriott standards for quality.

We arrive at the Marriott, Fisherman's Wharf, in San Francisco on a Thursday afternoon. We have a room reserved that was booked months ago. When we arrive there are no more rooms with king size beds. The clerk says that she'll give us this nicer room with 2 queen beds and a view of the courtyard that they usually charge...

Dear Richard C., I am sorry the renovation activity spoiled your stay. We do try to minimize the impact to our guests as much as possible, but noise and issues that effect room type availability do happen from time to time. It is unfortunate we were unable to make up for the inconvenience through our service. With renovation activity wrapping...

My wife & I stayed here for a long weekend and loved this hotel. The location couldn't be more perfect for tourists visiting San Fran. Our room was recently renovation and was absolutely beautiful with all the updated touches and amenities. HUGE TV, walk-in shower, coffee maker, refrigerator etc. The staff was very friendly and we used the concierge numerous...

We stayed at the Marriott Fisherman's Wharf on Feb. 12-17, 2017. The location of this hotel is great. Its walking distance to Pier 39 and numerous shopping areas, and restaurants. Very close to Ghirardelli Square and a great walk on the beach across from the Square. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We had breakfast everyday on the premises....

Thank you so much for you kind comments in spite of the renovation disruption you experienced and for recognizing Sol for her efforts. It has been challenging at times, but we are in the homestretch now and look forward to having you stay with us again in the near future.

The employees greet you with a smile. Very helpful and informative. I had a few special request and they have been able to meet my demands. I love the location and the fact that there is a restaurant here on site.

Good solid Marriott. Comfortable beds, decent restaurant. The halls (we were on the fourth floor) were either hot or cold. For some reason they couldn't seem to get it right. Good location within blocks of both cable car lines. Two blocks to the actual wharf. Parking, a premium in the tourist section, a premium at the hotel. At $54 plus...

Dear Cliffart, Thank you for staying at the San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf Marriott. I am happy to know that you found our hotel to be what you expected. Our parking is valet parking only and throughout San Francisco our prices are competitive. There is self parking within a couple of blocks which is a little less expensive. We have worked...

The location is in the Fisherman's wharf area and walkable to attractions and restaurants. The room price was fair although the parking is egregious and there were taxes on top of that. If I was staying more than 1 night I would find a nearby garage. The lounge/lobby area was modern and clean. The rooms were average without any views....

The updates that the hotel has done are beautiful and well appointed. Make sure to ask for an updated room (although most are). Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighbourhood home.
