The hotel lobby is very Chinese looking but staff very efficient & friendly. We had a 2 small double beds w a fantastic view of sea. As it was on the top 27th floor , we had access to the lounge on 26th level. The room card gives you access to that lounge. No one mans the lounge until 5-8pm....

Location is good for access to the Financial District and tourist areas. From there, hotel is dated, difficult to get around and the rooms are just terrible. A PTAC in a room costing almost $300.00???? Are you kidding me? Booked one type of room was given another. Desk help was nice but clueless. Problem with SFO is tourists and not...

We chose this hotel as a medical conference we were attending was taking place here, so for convenience sake we chose to stay. We tried to book using the pre-set rates for the conference, but even more than a month in advance, all of the rooms with king-sized beds were already "sold out". So we ended up going through AMEX...

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
