We stayed here for three nights as part of a 6 week trip around the USA, so we have a basis to compare various hotels. This is the first and only time in the whole trip where we have been expected to pay for wifi internet access. Really? $9.95 per day when the room rates are so steep anyway? Even...

Dear perryr60, Thank you for your honest feedback. We value your comments about paying for wireless internet and understand your disappointment seeing as it was included at other hotels on your trip. Complimentary refrigerators can be delivered to your room upon request from our housekeeping department. We are happy to hear that otherwise your stay was a pleasurable one, and...

We recently stayed here while in San Francisco for 4 nights. The room was generous size, comfortable bed and staff great. Just a couple of negatives firstly there is no fridge in the room which really surprised us as we have stayed in motels and big hotels, all had a refrigerator. Secondly the cost of Wifi which had been readily...

Dear burgerbob, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our hotel. We take all guest feedback very seriously and appreciate your honesty about your interactions with our security team. A hotel can either make or break a vacation. We don't spend a lot of time in our room, but when we come "home" we want comfort and a view. I research hotel options every where we go very carefully (always refer to Trip Advisor for opinions) We were very happy with the Hilton San Francisco, Financial District,. Across the...

Concierge was outstanding to plan great outings in a small amount of time. We checked in, grabbed a to go lunch and were on a tour bus in 50 minutes. He helped us pack fun into every spare moment, including setting up a foot massage in Chinatown. Room views of Coit Tower were marvelous. Rooms and hallways were dingy and...

The hotel is very clean. Location wise, its a 10 minute walk to the bus/subway or you can uber or take a cab. There weren't many restaurants / bars around, but there are a few, its def. good for business, but San Francisco is so tiny that nothing is 'far'. It is very quiet and good for sleeping in.

We booked the Hilton and then read some of the reviews that were not very positive! I almost bought a noise machine because of the posts regarding noise. I hadn't been to this hotel since 1976. nothing has changed. the service was excellent, but the place could use a refurbishing. it still has popcorn ceilings. luckily, I was there for business & not luxury pleasure. in the old days, businessmen would have called it a railroad hotel, a clean, well lighted place.

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
