This hotel is in the perfect location in San Francisco, close to ChinaTown, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli store, and within easy driving distance of the Golden Gate Bridge. The views are simply STUNNING!!!!! You can see the Cost Tower, Alcatraz, the Bay Bridge, and great views of the city from your room, and watching it lit up night is spectacular. I've stayed in San Francisco many times, but the views here simply can't be beat. The rooms were incredibly clean with a special seal showcasing their cleanliness, and COVID restrictions are followed impeccably throughout the property. Add to that a truly remarkable staff who will go above and beyond to accommodate (in my case an early check in and late check out) as well as an incredible room, and you can't choose a better hotel in San Francisco. At check in, everyone was helpful and friendly, and clearly passionate about their city. Thank you to the GM Chad and Director of Rooms Emma who went so far above and beyond to make my stay so special! They care deeply about each and every guest, and exude a passion for their profession and this hotel. I really appreciate how professional, helpful, and friendly they were. I highly recommend this hotel and only wish my stay was longer.…
In visiting our son in San Francisco, our family had the most amazing stay at this Hilton property!! Conveniently located in Financial District, placed us near the best attractions in San Francisco. So, it’s close to DTSF, The Fisherman’s Wharf, and wonderful eateries and restaurants. The assistant GM, Emma, and her staff supplied us with the best hospitality I’ve experienced in San Francisco!! They carefully adhered to safe COVID-19 protocols. Our room was kept clean and refreshed. With special amenities, discounted parking, and welcome check-in gifts, we truly felt special as Hilton Honors Diamond. We highly recommend the Hilton San Francisco Financial District hotel!!!
The way these people treat you I thought I was at a motel 6. I’ve had this hotel not let me check in until after 3pm but then when i all for a late check out they tell me noon because someone is assigned to this room i don’t think 1 pm would make a difference. Any descent hilton has always given 1pm i thought noon was normal checkout. On top that they don’t clean good at all I found a pretzel under my bed disgusting!
Arrived a little early and was able to check-in but they said I reserved a room a Queen bed and handicap accessible which I did not so I pulled up my reservation and showed the front desk agent I reserved a room with two bed and she said “okay, I’ll upgrade you to a room with two beds” ... I’m not sure how it’s an upgrade if I had already reserved it 🤦🏻♂️. After checking in we went up the elevator and was greeted by really filthy carpet (seen in pics below) in the hallway that leads to our room, hallway reeked of marijuana and a stench from the trash that was piled up next to the vending machine and stayed there our first two nights. Later on when we got in from exploring the city we returned late in the evening and got to our room and turned on the heater and a burning smell filled the room so we let it run for a few minutes and it didn’t now seem to go away so we shut it off and I go to the front desk and asked for a blanket and the night shift lady rudely said “why? only to people are registered to the room how many people are in there?!” I told her it’s just me and my cousin that are in the room and who is also on the reservation and registered to the hotel at check-in. I explained I just need an extra blanket because we’re not going to use the heater because of the smell that comes out and her snobby reply was “well next run it for twenty minutes”. This front desk agent needs to know if you’re going to work in hospitality she’s there to accommodate paying guests of the hotel and do it without an attitude...you just don’t treat people like that. Aside from her all other staff we’ve encountered were pleasant. Bed in the room sun in the middle, door to bathroom is a sliding door and even though you close it there’s a gap in the door where you can see into the bathroom. We had a room facing Coit tower which is a really nice view but the windows are so filthy it just ruins any photo op and it shows in others photos as well. This is by far the worst Hilton I have ever stayed at and would never return. …
Look, I don’t usually write these reviews and my last reviews for this Hilton in SF were good but, they did something to my card that they’ve never done before. They charged me regular room charges ($196) + incidentals ($50 night) OK. ($296) That’s regular protocol. I checked out the 5th of December it’s now the 9th. I don’t have any refund yet for incidentals. That’s understandable. They said it takes 5-7 business days. OK. They now charge me AGAIN for the whole price of the reservation, without refunding me the $296. Wtf? So, the hold is still on my debit card (when it’s with a debit card it’s not like a credit hold. you have no access to the funds). I’ve stayed at this hotel before and they didn’t do this. And as most other hotels do, they simply adjust the hold (take out the incidentals) after you check out, and you’re free to go about with your life. So, because they did this I spent a whole day panicking and having to contact them and Paypal a million times to get it sorted. Lesson learned, and it’s a shame because this was my second time at this hotel and it wasn’t too bad. maybe my last 🙃…
