This is a boutique hotel. Outstanding views. The rooms are small but very well appointed and comfortable. Internet is free with Kimpton membership (all hotels). Lobby is spacious with fireplace, newspapers, coffee, tea and wine hour. Staff are very helpful. Parking is half price most of San Francisco hotels. Nearby restaurants for all tastes. Ferry Terminal has hundreds of shops...

Nice comfortable hotel. Unpretentious without meaning a lack of creature comforts. On the contrary, all one needs without the big hotel chain nonsense. Perfectly located. Quiet comfortable well-appointed rooms. Cute to have wine tasting at 5 and milk&cookies before bed, for free. Great place.

Exceptional stay at the Harbor Court Hotel! Rooms were a little small but very nicely furnished. The location and view of the bay bridge were awesome. Staff was great. Parking was easy, with several garages close or street parking if you can find it. Walked to Giants Stadium and caught a baseball game! Loved it and would definitely return.

Wonderful hotel with a fantastic location. The room was definitely small and my view was of another room, but it was worth it for the location. The front desk staff was helpful and polite. Coffee in the morning and cookies at night were a plus. Basically, the rooms are efficient but you cannot beat the location.

We were able to get a great rate of $189 as a special for the Bay Bridge light display. What a great deal. Our room (619) had the best view! I enjoyed falling asleep to the lights and was surprised to wake to the most gorgeous sunrise. Our room wasnt big but was plenty of space for 2. We didn't...

Yes, these rooms are small. And no, they don't have the most up to the minute furnishings. But the staff is among the friendliest in any hotel anywhere (and it's dog friendly. Even has a tiny night "guard" dog that snoozes at the front desk). If you're a runner, or walker, step outside and onto the Embarcadero. If you want...

Third time's a charm, but then again, so were the previous two. I've stayed here on three separate occasions and love the hotel. Positive: The staff is great. They even exceed high Kimpton standards. For example, when I checked in, I asked when coffee ended in the morning. After I mentioned that I'd probably oversleep, the front desk had a...

San Francisco has so many choices for everything, but a friend suggested we stay at a Kimpton property, as they like boutique hotels. It was a great location, offering a perfect view of the newly "opened" light display on the Bay Bridge! The rooms are simple, but tasteful. After all, you don't go to San Francisco to stay in your...

Debated on whether to give this an average or poor rating. First, the pictures on the website don't look anything like the rooms. Kimpton hotels usually have charming rooms and this one was somewhat plain and small (and I had booked a larger room - can't imagine what the smaller one looks like). I understand that many hotels have rooms...

Not a bad value for what you get. It's clean, had a friendly staff, and is in a safe - convenient location. The rooms are small , but so what! It's San Francisco... Go outside and explore! Any city worth seeing has small rooms (because you aren't meant to do much more but sleep in them) Id stay again and...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
