Just spent a night here last night so my husband could go to an appointment at UCSF - Really pleasantly surprised! Sparkling clean and spacious room with very comfortable beds, furnishings, fridge, microwave, FREE parking and high speed WiFi. The wonderful person who checked us in could not have been more helpful. They are located about a block away from...

Such a good place to stay and enjoy the golden gate park and the pacific ocean wich is so close. A Little bit far away of the the city center, need a car but the room was clear and quiet for the night

The motel is not up to par. The lobby is something fro the 70's. Parking sucks! The room was spacious but by far not up to date. The bathroom walls had mold as well as the window. The carpet was in deplorable condition. Three floors and no elevator. Their site says Ocean is visible on the third floor. Not the...

I'm writing this review based on potential. There is so much potential here - its not a throwaway freeway motel with no hope. Great bones in one of SF's coolest hidden neighborhoods, right on the ocean. With some money The Great Highway Inn could be epic. It deserves to be epic. But I'll settle for "acceptable." - which it could...

Best I can say is that the Staff was very kind in giving us an immediate refund, as we would not stay at the location. Hotel is in shabby condition, we just left Tides in Monterrey. Refused to stay at location and was grateful when found room near wharf. Staff seemed very understanding of our disappointment- I expected a clean...

Very run-down place with much deferred maintenance. Needed a place for the night after attending a party all day so cheap was in order and this didn't even fit the bill in that department. I'm super glad I was too drunk to see the place at night, but waking up in the morning meant I had to see where I...

Across the street from beach and Golden Gate Park, but neighborhood pretty run down. Building is old, not in good condition (no elevator, dirty stairwells and walkways). But sheets and towels clean, bathroom had been updated. Beds fairly hard. Baseboards and behind furniture hadn't been cleaned in a while. No hairdryer (when we asked the front desk, they told us...

This place is OLD & funky! But it's 2 blocks to the Pacific Ocean. The beds are firm and the shower is hot and that's about the most important thing in a hotel for me. They do look like they are preparing for a remodel or at least repainting. The electrical outlets are probably from the 60's so it's hard...

I booked this hotel when I couldn't find anything else at a reasonable price (busy weekend) and the location was enticing. The room was fine, with nice towels and a fairly new bathroom, and the bed was okay. Wifi and TV were good. No AC, which I did not need since it was quite chilly. However, the exterior of the...
