Visited USA in July. This hotel is best for people who love to shop. It is right next to union square and everything from restaurants to big branded shops are a minute away. I feel it is better to live near union square than fisherman's wharf as this place is more lively. Ben the receptionist was very sweet and friendly...

Very Clean. Fast Check-in and Check-out Process. Great Amenities. They were able to get transportation around the city and to and from the city very promptly. Fast free wifi. Keurig available in the rooms.

The views from the floor-to-ceiling windows on the 20th floor were really amazing. Room was otherwise nice, clean, pretty standard. Some very loud Euro-visitors one night at 3 AM -- I guess they were jet-lagged, but they were pretty darned loud even for daytime. The lot and street adjacent to the hotel has construction going on, which a cabbie told...

The hotel is adjacent to Union Square and the whole of the city centre is within walking distance. Chinatown is 5 mins away and Fisherman's Wharf is 25 mins walk. The underground and the famous cable cars are only 5 mins walk. The underground (Bart) provides easy access to the airport and is recommended. The hotel is very clean and...

We stayed there for a day earlier this year coming from some other city and before catching the flight. It was a very nice stay. The staff are very professional of course and friendly. The breakfast was good. Out room wasn't closer to the top of the hotel but still the views were nice. Some essentials are not automatically in...

Location, staff, room, bed were ALL great. Only thing that could had been better was more comfortable chairs in the room, both were hard and stiff, couldn't relax in them. Beds were great, staff was awesome and friendly, rooms were clean. Location was great and centrally located. This part of the MINIMUM 200 Character Survey I don't agree with.

The Grand Hyatt SF is quite nice and the rooms comfortable, if small. Check in was easy and although check out was very crowded, one of the staff was actually paying attention and dealt with our requirements to store our luggage. Amazing attention in this day and age of non-customer service!

Full disclosure -- this was my first time to SF, so I can't compare the Grand Hyatt to any other hotels in the city. That being said, my room (king bed) was fine. Clean and comfortable. Some of the features are odd for the sake of being odd. WiFi was pretty good. Many commenters have noted the great location and...
