I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for two evenings over the weekend. It’s an excellent location! A centrally-located hotel always wins in my book. I was able to walk to both Union Square and Chinatown. The service was good and my room was quite spacious...More
This is my favorite Union Square hotel location. Definitely like the convenience of the club floor rooms. Breakfast is good and the view is great. The staff are very customer oriented which makes you feel very welcome here.

When I first entered the room, it looked clean but very soon, I was really shocked. I could stand The black dust on the bed but there was someone's fingernails on the bed!!!! OMG... It's the worst hotel ever !!More

I stayed here a couple of times in December, just before Christmas. The check-in both times was fine and the staff were friendly, although a bit distracted at times. I was in a club room the first time and a standard room the second time....More
Great location! But breakfast is expensive and hasn't many options... Besides, they charged my card US$5 for each mail Item delivered (both the packages and the letters!). As the Union Square region has many other lodging options, I would advise trying another one...

Originally home to rallies supporting the Union Army in the Civil War, this grand square has become the city's premier shopping and entertainment district containing the largest number of upscale department stores, chic boutiques, art galleries and theatres in the city. It's a large open area where tourists and locals gather, watch cable cars and crowds go by, enjoy a snack, or plan their day of shopping and
sightseeing, If feeling the pulsating energy of the city is on your agenda, Union Square is the place to soak it in.
