Stayed at Motel 6 for a week, rooms are spacious and very clean even the bathroom. Room interior is sparse but exactly what you need, fridge, AC, TV and curtains to keep the light out. Location is central and sits on the outskirts of Tenderloin but no worries there are homeless people everywhere in San Francisco, if you leave them...

Great rooms, great location and everything was extremely clean. Perfect for walking tours in San Francisco. We piled in and out of the room and had a great time. Fabulous city for families and couples.

Checking in was simple. I thought it was stupid that if we paid in cash they had to take an additional $100 as a deposit. So I decided to take everyone's cash and just pay with my card. As far as our room...it was clean. It looked exactly like the pictures. For just us three girls we only utilized the...

I stayed there a couple of nights. The room was basic--just like every other Motel 6--no fancy furniture, etc. The room as very clean and was quiet. Given that it's in It a busy part of downtown San Francisco, the quiet was refreshing. They also have lots of parking in their garage.

I stayed here for 3 nights during the 2014 World Series and was very happy my stay. The staff is nice, the rooms are large for San Francisco standards and the price was right. It's clean and there are plenty of restaurants and local stores in the neighborhood. 2 blocks away is Van Ness Blvd. On Van Ness you can...

We were looking for a fairly priced room not too far from downtown, with free parking and a room big enough to fit a baby (ideally with a fridge). It was hard to find. Motel 6 was a good choice at a fair price for San Francisco. We paid 394 $ for 3 nights. We had two queen beds, a...

This Motel 6 is in the Tenderloin, a VERY depressing area, but just blocks from better areas. The sidewalk are populated by many homeless, drifters and those with mental health issues. I saw a robbery occur when out walking one morning. You can hear the riff raft on the streets wailing well into the night. That said, this property, like...

It says a lot about San Francisco hotels that it's impossible to get a twin room with private bathroom downtown for less than $200 a night ... except at the Motel 6. The motel is a no-frills affair. Towels the size of bathmats, bare walls, beds built to last rather than built for comfort and curtains left an inch or...

The motel was easy to find and is conveniently located near downtown San Francisco. No breakfast but coffee offered in the morning. We decided to get breakfast in one of the cafes nearby. Exploring San Francisco it's a 10 minute walk to Union Square, and what would be better than taking the cable car to visit Fisherman's Wharf. Our room...
