this hotel is in a great part of San Francisco, 5 minutes walk to union square, tram stop round the corner. The hotel itself is quaint to say the least. It is a homage to Joan of arc, eccentric and colourful. Breakfast is free and excellent quality, however, the decor is a renaissance explosion, eating in a torture chamber, chains,...

Dear Joanne W, Thank you for posting a good review about our small hotel. Sorry if you did not like fully the decor of the dining- room. .........We serve fresh starbuck coffee. .........As a rule air- conditioning is not necessary in San Francisco considering that we have only a few days of extreme heat yearly Best regards Claude Lambert -...

The hotel was quaint in the french boutique style and our room was adequate in size with a comfortable bed. However, the rooms could benefit from air conditioning as the weather was extremely hot during our visit! The breakfast fare was excellent and included in the price making this hotel value for money, especially as it is so close to...

This is the best hotel in the heart of the city, looking forward to staying again 2 weeks. Clean, central location & wonderful staff. Really felt like some of the more expensive boutique hotels we have stayed at in Europe. The Restaurant in the basement level is beautiful & romantic with excellent food. We were even able to meet the...

Friendly, helpful staff tops the list of reasons to stay at the Cornell, followed close behind by the terrific value you get for dollars spent. In The City where it is easy to drop well north of $500 for a room for one night's stay, we had TWO comfortable, very clean rooms plus full breakfast included and convenient parking at...

I was in San Francisco for a large conference -- finding a room was near impossible but was able to find this gem far below what other hotels were asking. The location was perfect. Upon arrival, I was initially surprised by how "quaint" it was. I felt like I was checking in with a local family more than a hotel....

People are super friendly and the "house dog golden retriever " Michelle, always welcomes you at the lobby. Good food in the restaurant. Rooms are quaint. A little tired but still good. Would definitely stay there again. Location is good. With walking distance of downtown if you don't mind going back up the hill. If you do they are right...

My sister, niece and I was there for the weekend and it's a charming place. Icing on the cake for my niece was the dog!
