We were late getting to the hotel because of some baggage issues we had at the airport. The staff checked us in and even let us know of an upgrade they gave us to a suite for our wedding and even had rose petals on the bed and everything! The desk staff, the housekeeping staff, the waitstaff at the restaurant...

This place was not anywhere near as fancy as the pictures looked. My boyfriend and I travel to SF a few times a year and I saw the gorgeous photos of this place and decided it would be perfect for my birthday weekend in SF! ... unfortunately we weren't given the room we reserved. We reserved a king size bed...

I wasn't too sure what to expect seeing as the rate for this hotel for my one-night business trip was relatively inexpensive. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how tidy, comfortable, and modern the room was. Additionally, the hotel offers a pretty awesome breakfast for all guests each morning including eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal, juice, coffee, and...

We were very excited to stay at a Charlie Palmer boutique hotel. It was small, which was expected and had a very strong musty smell. The room was clean and nicely decorated. We both had luke warm showers on the morning of 3/9 and we took them several hours apart hoping the first one was just from the morning rush....

The hotel was cute, and located near union square with great accessibility to bus lines, etc. The front desk staff was nice, but not very helpful with recommendations and how to get around town. The one day (from our 4 night stay) we wanted the maid service to clean the room, the room was not cleaned when we returned 8...

Loved this place. Great quality rooms, okay breakfast (it wasn't horrible, can't complain for the location and the price), lovely staff, helpful whenever you needed and Jazz nights! Definitely consider this, it was about a 20 minute walk to Market Street and 10 or so minutes from Bloomingdales and a collection of other shops. Tram stops are a stones throw...

On this trip there were 6 of us that stayed 1 night in San Francisco on our way to Las Vegas at Mystic Hotel by Charlie Palmer and we all must have received upgraded rooms that were a good size and seemed freshly painted and revamped and a pleasant stay. However on our way back to Sydney we stayed again...

Room looked nice, seemed clean, however that was not the case. Bathroom was not cleaned a few days during the week. Elevator did not work some days, which when I was going down was not a big deal, but going up 7 stories would not be good. Checkout was fine, bill was initially as stated. I looked at my credit...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Mystic Hotel Union Square San Francisco by Charlie Palmer is a smart, sleek retreat situated in the heart of the city's busiest neighborhoods. Conveniently located just one block from the iconic cable car line in the middle of three key destinations – Union Square, Chinatown and the Financial District — Mystic Hotel offers a convenient, comfortable and unique modern boutique hotel experience in a historic location. With a contemporary look and feel, our accommodations are designed to reflect the changing need of today's traveler. Enjoy high-touch service and an ideal Union Square location, perfect for travelers looking to experience all the adventures of San Francisco. Like a private club, enjoy handcrafted cocktails in the Burritt Room, the intimate film noir-inspired bar named for Burritt Alley, where detective Sam Spade's partner Miles Archer was gunned down in The Maltese Falcon. Then, step into the speakeasy vibe of renowned Chef Charlie Palmer’s adjoining Burritt Tavern, where walled-in and curtained booths create dark corners for private conversations and Executive Chef Luke Knox turns out classic food like steaks and chops done right. Knox also takes advantage of Bay area's tremendous green markets as well as the extraordinary offerings from local food artisans in menus built around prized regional specialties from Dungeness crab to West Coast oysters. That's what we like about San Francisco: it's up to the minute and still in the moment. ... more   less
