My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The main lobby is beautifully appointed with decor that hearkens back to a bygone era. And our room was very comfortable, clean and most importantly very quiet. Considering that our room was facing a busy city streets, our room was very quiet. This place provided us with a calm and...

Great experience in this gorgeous old hotel in an ideal location only 2 blocks from Union Square and the dining and shopping options that come with that. Hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with.

Ok, first of all, given the proximity to the union square and everything, the price is great. You can walk to everything. The lobby has a very vintage decor, which is unique. Some seating areas in the lobby if you want to chat with your colleagues before retiring in you room. Speaking about the room, it was ok size (I...

Hotel charges Urban fee of $25 (with tax it is $28.5) per night. Didn't realize before. If I knew, I would not stay. No amenities for this fee. They said wifi, newspaper, coffee and others but all branded hotels have that too with no fee. Anyway, hotel is small and room is even tinier. If you stay alone, its ok...

A beautiful, old restored hotel. Lobby is glorious, but other common spaces are a bit cramped. Regular rooms are somewhat small, but pricing makes an upgrade possible without breaking the bank. Concierge texted us shortly after arrival and answered all questions quickly and competently. Can't beat the location for this price.

The room is clean and comfortable. The location is great as it is near to Bart station, cable car turnaround station and shopping district. There's no lack of food near the hotel. I love the $5 voucher for each day the housekeeping is skipped. There is a long wait for food in Jaspers but the food is good! Complimentary coffee...

This hotel has lots of charm and character. The staff is friendly and attentive. The concierge texted us to see if we needed anything during our stay and referred us to an incredible tapas place. Good bar and restaurant on site. The location is just a few blocks from Union Square so it's easy to get to any place in...

The rooms at the Serrano are comfortable, stylish and- most important- very clean! Charm is abundant and the staff are well-trained and helpful. From check-in to check-out, I could not imagine a better hotel experience.

Let's start by the Resort fee. I should have done more research as the hotel charges a $25 Urban Fee and then tack on $3.25 Urban Fee Tax for each night you are there. This is separate from the hotel taxes. I asked what it was for and it was quoted as the daily newspaper (which I never received), coffee...

Forget it. Not clean and very very very old. Poor location and really bad rooms. The pictures of the website are really not real. For example the lobby seems to be huge but it is not. Rooms old and not clean. My first and last time
