I have stayed at this hotel a couple times. It's a great location about 7 mins walk from BART. Lobby is welcoming with water and coffee in the morning. Friendly staff. And the rooms are great. Not fancy or the most modern but definitely cozy and comfortable.

We went to see a show at the Curran Theater which is a block and a half away, so the location was really good from that standpoint. It was also close to Union Square and all the shopping there. The restaurant was also very good.

There's no question that the hotel is a quaint property. It's got the charm of a historic hotel. The staff, for the most part, it's excellent. The check-in was a little dry. I'm used to a much different experience--energy, sense of genuine interest in the guest, and trying to be accommodating. Check-in was more like talking to a wall. I...

The room was so small. There was not a closet for my luggage and I had to use the top of the nightstands. Bathrooms was so small that the door got in the way. Not sure how SF can continue to charge such high rates for hotels that I don't want to walk on the carpet without my shoes. The...

Bed skirt was covered in dirt and there were what looked like bodily fluid stains on the sofa. It was so bad that I checked out and stayed at a different hotel even though they would not refund. I would not stay here again and would not recommend.

I think Convenient for sightseeing, near to cable car station, many restaurants many shops and not so big slope. Room was yellow and red color, pretty, with Bathtub was so nice. Little bit old and hot.

Our room was situated next to both the passenger and service elevators. Especially in the mornings it can get rather noisy. The room was of reasonable size for a city hotel although furnishings were rather dated. The bathroom was of decent size. The best thing about the hotel is its location - walking distance to Union Square, shopping, cable car...

The bed was extremely hard and difficult to sleep on. We awoke both mornings feeling sore. The hutch that the tv is on is too big for the room and makes it feel much smaller. Parking costs and urban taxes for the area just pile on and makes it feel like less of a deal. The location is borderline and...

Hello 414douglasd, A good night's sleep is essential before a day out in the city-- and we're truly sorry our bed wasn't your preferred comfort. Many guests list our beds and Frette bedding as a highlight of their stay, but we apologize this wasn't the case for you. We understand booking travel can often be a complicated endeavor as you...

I found this hotel because all the others were full because of the RSA Conference, so it was not my first option. The hotel is very near Union Station, which is really helpful, the lobby is really nice, rooms are small but very functional. The restaurant/bar in the lobby level have greats drinks and very tasteful food.

There were several problems that we experienced at this hotel. They biggest was that they gave our info to a third party without consent and they contacted us. When we asked the hotel about it, the staff had no idea that they had implemented a new third party concierge service. This caused great stress as I believed that my information...
