This hotel does not live up to its address on Nob Hill. With minimal staff, no room service, an over priced buffet and old televisions in the room - it could easily have been a hotel at Fisherman's Wharf.

Hello Evette, Although it saddens us to hear your thoughts, we are committed to improving! We are currently finalizing our plans for our upcoming renovation. Our guestrooms will receive a much needed update and our lobby will get a nice makeover too. I think you will like it! In the meantime, please accept my apologies for not meeting your expectations....

I would like to thank the entire staff from the first experience with the Bellmen to the house keepers. This was beyond first class. Every need has been well thought out and planned for and if you need something special, the staff can accomodate that need in a matter of a single phone call. Absolutely spectacular. Thank You!

Unfortunately, my stay was cut short due to an emergency and I had to depart sooner than expected. Your hotel is exceptionally good. But, it would be nice were there a clock in the room routinely. Except for the very high room cost the hotel was very good.

8th floor is right under the equipment on the roof, could not sleep. We were moved to another room, in the middle of the night to, you guessed it on the 8th floor again. Also the water pressure in the shower is pathetic.

Hello there, I am terribly sorry for the noise from the roof. This was certainly not normal, so our building engineers have investigated the issue. We are hopeful that we found the cause. I am also very sorry for the water pressure on the 8th floor. One of the downsides of historic buildings is the plumbing often isn't ideal. However,...

Front desk issues, all else were helpful. Convenient location - We had issues with the check in process that were not resolved and then the second day our room was not serviced until 5:00 when we asked the front desk person, he seemed to think this was acceptable. I have a feeling they must be having issues with Housekeeping staff.

Our fourth stay in the city and by far the BEST accommodations of all. Well maybe there was one comparable, but it was 45 min south of the city. Loved the location, the time saved, the Hotel was clean, well laid out, EXCELLENT staff, everyone was GREAT.

Have stayed in a number of hotels in this area for work. Most are overpriced for the quality of stay in my opinion. This place was clean, nice and the service was very good while not being overpriced.

Stay was good. Well connected to restaurants, market street, Little away from Golden Gate bridge but you can very easily get a cab to Golden Gate. Closer to financial districts down hill. Hotel rooms are clean and well maintained.

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
