It was a good experience but nothing spectacular. We were there with a few families and I thought it was a bit more rundown than last time. I did like the front desk employees who tried hard to give us recommendations in the city

If what you want in a hotel is stylish chic decor, then this is not the place for you. If you want a safe, comfortable, great night's sleep in the centre of a city that costs a fraction of what other hotels in the area are charging - then this is the place for you. Unpretentious, simple and straightforward, the... More

This was our first visit to San Francisco and this hotel was absolutely perfect! It was centrally located; we were within walking distance of the cable cars, Chinatown, Union Square and more! There's a ton of great bars and restaurants in the nearby area as well. The staff was very friendly and willing to answer questions and help us navigate... More

This hotel has a fabulous location, walking distance to many attractions. Due to the price i had low expectations for the state of the hotel but it actually was clean and cute. It is a very old building that gives the hotel character. Nancy was extra nice and helpful, they all well really but I did not know their names.... More

Partner and I had a superb stay it was like stepping back in time with the old fashioned lifts. Staff were very helpful and added to our experience. Having the market next door was an added bonus. Location was great with good restaurants close by.

The rooms were comfortable and the location was great. I stayed here for 3 nights with my daughter, 12 and we felt very safe. They had a decent breakfast with pastries, yogurt and fruit. I will definitely stay here again!

This hotel is reasonable, cheaper in comparasion with others hotels, better located. Good service in reception and breakfast reasonable, but it`s a very old hotel. Room size ok. Microwave available in the room and kitchen.

Great little hotel. Very comfortable. Basic but very good breakfast, enough to get you going. Great location and best of all a great price. Old fashioned and quirky. Dont stay here if you like modern! Changed room (without a fuss) as first one smelt awful perhaps from the carpet as most other rooms had wooden floor. Really noisy neighbours above... More

We have been coming here for 4years now and we can honestly say we don't see ourselves staying anywhere else but the Mayflower Hotel. The owner is Hester.
