This is a basic tourist class hotel. It is clean and maintained. It is a fairly typical older small hotel near Union Square; relative to SF hotel prices, the price is very fair. The morning coffee and rolls are good. The staff is friendly, polite and very helpful. My room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. One nice...

We stayed for 2 nights when arriving in San Francisco. Rooms were basic, fairly large bed a bit hard but nice & clean with a good bathroom. Pastries were for breakfast which was a good start to the day. Good place to stay & close to union square.

For the price, we had no complaints. We chose place on price, and used the room as a place to sleep, and it did the job. The shower was good, the bathroom modern and clean. The view was of a brick wall, but as we only used the place to sleep it wasn't an issue. Didn't try breakfast, but the...

The location of the hotel is very good. Very close to Union square. there are lots of nice restaurants close to the hotel. The hotel is very old, needs renovation. The lobby and the rooms smell bad. Internet connection is not very good. The rooms are clean but old.

The staff are really helpful. There is a slight funky smell in the lobby, but that can be ignored. I stayed here for 5 days and it was awesome. The Hotel is Old but well maintained, the bathroom is very clean. NO complaints. Breakfast is simple, continental breakfast with the freshest croissants and muffins. Free coffee 24/7. It is very...

This is a very old hotel, very dated. But this is a great location. The room was really big and everything was very clean. No views from my room, just a brick wall out the window. Breakfast consists of muffins and coffee etc. If you are just sleeping here it is the perfect hotel. If you are going to be...

This hotel has potential but it has to invest in king size beds. The rooms are large with small beds, so it is not comfortable for two people. The bathroom is nice. The breakfast is really poor, just sweets ! The location is great.

The Grant Hotel is in a great location and for the price, it is hard to beat. I was in town for a conference and was able to stay at the Grant for MUCH cheaper, and walk to and from my meetings each day. Interior and amenities are a little older, but overall was a comfortable, quiet stay.

We stayed at the Grant Hotel for 4 nights. The location is pretty amazing only a 5 min walk from Union Square. The hotel is very old and creaky but those of you know how expensive San Franicisco is will have an open mind to the affordable price of this hotel. It is just over half as expensive as properties 2...

I booked this hotel because it was cheaper by $100 each night than my meeting hotel which was one block away. I walked to and from my meeting every day. The Grant Hotel offers clean spacious rooms, comfortable bed, TV with cable, friendly helpful staff and complimentary continental breakfast and coffee. The breakfast consists of a variety of fresh croissants,...
