A great boutique hotel. Our room was a little on the smaller side based on other hotel rooms I've stayed in, but I didn't see any of the other rooms at the Inn to compare. I stayed with my youngster daughter, and it was perfectly cozy. The elevator broke down the first night we were there, and this was about...

We've stayed at the Inn at the Opera before since we are Shell Vacation members, but this is the first time we've stayed in the deluxe 1 room suite (or "Opera" suite). Since we had our 2 small kids with us, it was PERFECT! It was basically a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite, but instead of a bed in 1 room,...

I stayed at Inn at the Opera during Christmas week and it couldn't have been more pleasant. The hotel is charming, warm, and comfortable. The staff is friendly and efficient and the amenities make the hotel very homey. They serve a nice breakfast every morning and cookies in the afternoon. The rooms have a fridge and microwave and bathrobes, two...

We spent two nights at this hotel which is part of our timeshare. Both days we took cabs to go to our destinations. The front desk summoned cabs with amazing promptness. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite which was quite spacious for a room in San Francisco. The hotel was very quiet and nice. The furnishing...

I am glad to hear that you had an overall enjoyable stay with us, and wanted to thank you and wish you the best for the New Year!. I am aware of the "hit or miss" baseboard heating system, and it is one of projects we are working on to fix this year. We do hope to see you again...

If you love history and the genteel ways of the past, then you will certainly enjoy your stay at the Inn at the Opera. From the gentle creak of the wooden floors in the lobby to the small old-fashioned elevator, there's much to appreciate. Although, I would have preferred a slightly larger bed, our suite was spacious, as was the...

we spent 3 days there on our way to Lake Tahoe for a week. Rooms are small- even in the suites, but very comfortable and excellent service. Walking distance to everywhere- and close to transportation centers for everything else. Breakfast was better than expected.

We stayed at the Inn at the Opera a few days before Christmas to see The Nutcracker at the War Memorial Opera House. We could not have chosen a better location! If you are going to the Opera House, this is the place to stay. There's a great restaurant downstairs (if more expensive than the room rates would imply), and...

This beautiful quaint hotel is a must! A very well maintained gem that is moderately priced and accessible to most of San Francisco. The restaurants in the area are wonderful. This hotel is a favorite!

We stayed in this little hotel for the 1st time as we attended 2 SF Symphony concerts. We stayed in a mini suite--even so, small, but clean and comfortable. Location near symphony hall was a real plus for us. Front desk and bell staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was very quiet as it backed to the alley between...

Hayes Valley
Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway.
