Very welcoming place with elegant decor; cookies and tea/coffee in afternoons. We had nicely decorated mini-suite with small sitting room with 2 extra large chairs (which turn into twin beds), table and chairs, kitchenette with mini frig, microwave, sink, dishes and cutlery; TV. We are glad that you found our location elegant and enjoyed breakfast. We hope to host you again should visit San Francisco again!
What a treasure find this boutique hotel is in the heart of civic center right next to the opera house! Friendly, welcoming, helpful, and certainly priced right for a City hotel! Step back in time and enjoy this Jewel of the City!!

This is a true step back in time! One elevator, with the window so you see the floors, and you have to open an exterior door! It is an older building, and they have kept it as true to the history, or as close as...More

This Inn is at a convenient location for our needs. There are really no good hotels in the Hayes Valley, Civic Center area. It's clean, service is excellent and the continental buffet breakfast is a treat. The only improvement I would make would be in...More
This is a very quiet hotel even though it is in the middle of the city. The rooms are very small ; but nicely laid out and clean. It is close to public transportation. It is within easy walking distance of symphony, opera, ballet and yummy restaurants.

Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway. Its removal allowed for the creation of an attractive boulevard on Octavia Street with a community park at its center and dozens of trendy businesses to satisfy visitors looking for a stylish respite.
I'm sure they would let you pay for your guest's breakfast. It's based on honor system. People just go to breakfast from their rooms. I'm sure the hotel won't know how many people in your party since there is no checking... More
I'm sure they would let you pay for your guest's breakfast. It's based on honor system. People just go to breakfast from their rooms. I'm sure the hotel won't know how many people in your party since there is no checking at breakfast. That said, I would be honest and frank with the front desk and ask them about purchasing breakfast for a non-guest.
