Pretty bleak although it could be associated with the pandemic to some degree. Expensive parking. Ice machine didn't work. Wi-fi streaming to TV was unavailable. Air-conditioner was loud and made a tapping noise all night. Windows are sealed shut. No simple amenities such as a bottle opener. Most of the hand sanitizer stations were not working. Otherwise the room was clean and there were toiletries available. Compensated us with a free bottle of wine.

As an essential worker at a Covid Positive site, it was important to find accommodations for you to isolate. Hyatt Place in SF was home for me for almost 3 months. The staff were friendly, it was within walking distance from restaurants and stores. I really enjoyed my stay!

We've stayed at this hotel 2 times recently because we had a family member in the hospital and we needed a close location. The hotel is just one mile from UCSF Hospital and the staff was excellent and kind and caring in a very trying and stressful time for both us and the city as a whole. Aside from being close to the hospital, this turned out to be an excellent location overall - just down the block from Oracle Park, a short one mile to the Embarcadero and all that it offers, and one mile to Potrero Hill which turned out to be some my favorite city walks and restaurants.

Checking in went well however my keys did not work. Get new keys and then half of the lights did not work. Get put into a new room where within an hour the AC unit starts making loud noises for almost 20minutes and then completely stops working. Get transferred to a third room within two hours of checking in.

We moved from a Hyatt in San Jose to this property to be close to the city but the rooms were much smaller (as to be expected in the city though). The elevators had trouble with the key cards which was frustrating. Also, the valet and parking system was difficult, would not recommend bringing a car. No room service options, there is a dining area on the first floor but it closes early. I wish they did have room service and more food service options that would be made things much better.
