A very conveniently situated hotel on the main Highway 101 and within easy walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf. Free parking and wifi although the latter was a bit slow. The hotel was clean and the staff super helpful. Rooms in the front had a bit of street noise but a great view of the bridge. Everything was clean and well...

This motel is in a great location for fishermans wharf/pier 39. We stayed here one night, and found the rooms to be huge, well kept and clean. The staff member who greeted us in the lobby was extremely friendly and had lots of advice to give us rookies who have never been to San Fran before. We walked to the...

We were in the need of a hotel for the last days of our road trip and ended up with the Lombard. Would come back if I ever stay at SF again ... Pro: - very friendly and helpful staff - free parking - clean and quiet room - Pier 39, fisherman's wharf, aquarium, coit tower, famous part of Lombard...

After seeing pictures, I had low expectations, but I figured it'd be worth it based on the price. Not only was the price super fair, especially considering the free parking, the quality was great! The rooms and amenities are great! Modern and very clean. The beds are SUPER comfortable. Whatever premium bed with Serta they advertise they have, it is...

Walking distance to the Marina, Crooked Street, and some good restaurants. A bit farther, but you can walk to Fisherman's Wharf. Free parking at the hotel in an impossible to find parking area. Room was clean.

Within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf , safe neighborhood, we walked out for a late dinner no problems, there are a number of family owned breakfast places nearby. no need to rent a car as public transportation is available. Edger at the motel was a big help and very friendly. Room in the front was noisy with street traffic but...

Had 3 people checking in to two rooms at the start of this month, and I must say that the woman on the front desk should not be in any role involving customer service. We arrived at 11am and understood this was before check in. We asked about bag storage and were told we could leave the bags in the...

We stayed three nights during a road trip. It is a bit dated inside but everything was clean, the bed was comfy and the price was very reasonable for San Francisco. From here you can walk to Fisherman's Wharf, the cable car stop and bars/restaurants around Fillmore and Union. It is also a cheap cab ride to the Fillmore if...

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
