I love supporting independent hotels and I knew going in that it would be under construction. What that translated to was that there were no rooms available that weren't street-side, so we had to take the noise. It isn't just noise, though -- our room actually shook when trucks drove by (frequently). I had to put in earbuds with very...

Hotel is in a convenient location - close to many restaurants, shopping and Marina. Lively part of town, younger crowd closing down the bars on the weekends. Room was clean, we had a refrigerator brought in. Construction going on in a portion of the building. Not for light sleepers as you can hear traffic and feel vibration of large trucks...

This is located right in the heart of a great area - Fillmore, Lombard, and the Marina area. I liked the convenient place, and the relaxed check-in and check-out. We will return many times. If you have a young person traveling with you, this is a great place for older teens who can find a convenient coffee place nearby while...

We booked this hotel for our honeymoon road travel. The position is great, cause you find yourself in the middle of Lombard Street and you can easily reach by car, walk or buses any point of interest in San Francisco. Hotel quality is average, the structure is noisy in the night and our sleep was disturbed by the moving bed...

The Chelsea is a nice place, our rooms were great. They were clean and well maintained, part of the hotel is being remodeled, so imagine they will be more great rooms soon. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is free parking if your driving and bus stops nearby to get you wherever you need to go if you don't....

We stayed here for 3 nights in Feb 2017. The hotel is currently getting some renos. So there is some work going on around the building, we got a newly upgraded room, wow it was brilliant. The bathroom was large and clean, the beds were very comfy. Pently of room to put your bags and gear. The hotel is located...

Drove into San Francisco in the morning and made a call to Chelsea as it was listed online with a decent price and parking. We booked a room and we were not disappointed. The room was clean and comfortable, and located walking distance to the Wharf, restaurants and lounges. The biggest plus wasn't just the very reasonable price, but also...

Dear Vone, Thank you for your positive feedback on a recent stay. We appreciate you enjoyed our Inn as well as the location and parking facility. We are currently renovating our rooms and we hope to finish our first half of the building end of February 2017. We hope to see you again after our renovation.

Spent two nights there for new years and this hotel is great, it's located in the marina district, you can walk to the wharf, palace of fine arts, and crissy fields. This hotel has free parking and wi-fi. There are also a ton of restaurants that are a short walk. You can't go wrong staying here.

Nice and clean hotel just steps away from anything you could need. The room was much larger and unique than expected. There are some cute shops and a lot of good food and ice cream nearby. If you feel like walking the bay isn't far. Also, the free parking was a definite bonus!

We just stayed at this Inn and enjoyed the location ad service. It was difficult to find because the sign was covered with a scaffold and almost missed the entrance to the lobby. We were happily surprised to find free parking in San Francisco and a good size room for a very reasonable price. Although they are renovating the rooms,...

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
