I would highly recommend this property, it's in a fabulous location in the Castro shop and amenities a short walk away. Be sure to visit the local supermarket, Molly Stones which stocks everything one could want and more! The house was clean and very well equipped and Wyatt had thought of everything. We are a family of 5, two adults and 3 teenage children and Wyatt provided an extra bed for our 3rd child and the house was perfectly big enough for all of us. We felt well looked after and informed and I must add that Wyatt's pre-arrival information was brilliant.

Casa Luna is a self catering set of apartments in the heart of the Castro area. We stayed in the Carriage House for 4 nights. This apartment comes with two beds (one king in a separate room and one queen in the main apartment area), a fully equipped kitchen, living room and dining room. Everything is beautiful decorated and maintained, very clean and fully functional. Access is controlled via an access pad, which means you do not have to worry about keys when going out. The property is less than a block from the Castro metro station. The area also comes with an abundance of restaurant and bar options. We loved this place and had a great stay. Getting into the apartment required going up quite a few stairs. This is not unusual for San Francisco at all, and we did not have an issue with it. But keep it in mind when booking for someone that is not able to do this everyday. Note that you will get a full set of towels, with extras in the closet. Garbage bags are also provided. Cleaning is your responsibility for the period, as this is not a hotel, and daily cleaning is not available.

We stayed in the Carriage House for 10 days and it was one of our best holiday locations ever. Casa Luna is in an ideal position, a few yards from the metro and tram, and just round the corner from the very lively Castro St, where there is a great selection of restaurants, bars and quirky little shops. Despite this, the Carriage House is very quiet and peaceful. The apartment itself is amazing. The living/dining/kitchen area is huge and very well equipped. It is also exquisitely decorated, with great attention to detail. The bedroom is lovely, with an extremely comfortable super king bed and plenty of storage, including a walk-in closet. There is a door in the bedroom to a cute little patio outside. The bathroom has a whirlpool bath, and eco-friendly hand wash, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are supplied. Wyatt is very friendly and helpful, an excellent host in every way. All in all, the Carriage House is luxury accommodation, at half the price you'd pay for similar luxury in a hotel. I can't recommend it highly enough.

We had an amazing stay for 12 nights here; and it really felt like we were living in San Francisco. The kitchen was really well equipped and the area is great for shops, supermarkets and night-life. The apartment is very private (given its location) and perfectly located for the subway and local buses. The staff were very helpful and we can't wait to go back.

We have just spent four nights here whilst in SFO. The communication from the owner was excellent, although the folder in the room does need updating. The apartment was very clean and there were some lovely extra touches to include flowers in our room, fresh fruit, beer and coffee, and lovely toiletries. However.... The room is outdated and to be honest quit dark and dingy - It's a ground floor apartment with a single window and you need lights on all the time. The noise from the apartment above is unbearable if there are people in whilst you are there. Very very noisy from the street outside - but that's because it's at the front in a busy road. Bathroom impossibly small and nowhere for a lady to sit and dry her hair as there isn't a mirror. In fairness many of these things can't be changed, but a lick of paint and modernisation would be a great improvement. We would suggest you book one of the other apartments because the location is great - definitely not the studio... The photo advertised is not the room you get.

Great and easy communication with Wyatt. Lots of great info on the area before we arrived. Keep in mind that this is a self catering, no staff on hand apartment. You're sent a code and instructions before arrival. We stayed in the Carriage House for 4 nights. Large 1 bedroom apartment, with full kitchen, lounge, dining area and wall bed with memory foam mattress. It was wonderfully quiet, the beds were heavenly and there were lots of supplies, fruit and basics. The Castro is wonderful, full of beautiful people, great food, easy transport. The Tram car, direct to Fishermans wharf, is 3 mins away, the station is next door and there is an endless choice of restaurants around the corner. Go to Orphan Andy's for the friendliest guys you'll ever meet, and great chicken fried steak. Be aware though, that the Carriage House is up a lot of steep stairs, get the cab driver to carry up your luggage. Highly recommended.

I stayed in the studio (4058) and it was excellent. From booking all the information was emailed to me as to location and getting access etc and Late check out was arranged too. A beautiful well designed studio in the heart of the city at Castro and Market so ideally located. Lovely living area and kitchen with all modern equipment and well maintained and cared for (no chipped cups or dirty fridges as can be the case in other places!) and plenty of supplies like iron board, toilet paper, iron, hangers and for a self book studio excellent toiletries too - making it a real home from home. I also received emails regarding reviews of local areas to visit and an article from The Bay Area Times regarding San Francisco. I travel all over the world with work and for pleasure but I have to say that I will definitely look at booking this studio and other apartments in the address!! Fantastic!!

We stayed at this lovely place for 6 days, the first 3 nights at the carriage house (superb full size apartment, recently renovated with the most gorgeous high ceiling, furniture, decoration and view, and the carriage plus, a large one bedroom, very cozy and romantic but a bit humid. The last 3 in the larger main house at 4062 facing 17th street and while a much large full apartment in the original building, perfectly appointed and kept, a bit more noisy (all relative, as it still is very quiet) and with a bit less character. apart from the many stairs to climb, it does not have any negative. all amenities are provided, including fresh fruits and lavender high quality soaps/shampoos, lotions etc. on of our best stays ever!

We spent 5 days in the Carriage House of Casa Luna and can't praise it enough. It was spacious, beautifully equipped and spotlessly clean. It's location is perfect for accessing all of downtown and we loved Castro which has some brilliant restaurants. I'd recommend it without hesitation.

Casa Luna was gorgeous and exactly as pictured on this website and their video on the Casa Luna website. We stayed in the Garden Apt., which is the first floor of the house (#4060.) It was beautiful -- hardwood floors, comfy beds, lovely little garden, gorgeous kitchen with every amenity you could think of...for those of you who cook, lol. (Loved the Audley Hepburn photo in the kitchen!) It was the personal touches that were what stayed wirh me: Wyatt kept in close touch in the weeks leading up to our stay, sending us several articles and links regarding things to do in San Fran. Most helpful was the neighborhood map which included points of interest. There were also plenty of guidebooks available in the apartment. (Other little extras we used were the full-size bottles of Lavender shampoo, body wash, hand soap, and lotion that are provided, as well as the hairdryer and ibuprofen we found tucked away.) If in need, there is a grocery and a pharmacy nearby. And I enjoyed my morning tea from the variety of Stash teas provided. At one point, we had problems with late-night noise coming from neighbors elsewhere on the property (the Carriage House, below us, it turned out.) I called Wyatt and he promptly answered (at 12:30AM!) and took care of it himself -- problem solved in 10 minutes. Wyatt really goes out of his way to make sure your trip is the best. Thank you to all at Casa Luna! Stephanie Trdenic
