Right outside union square- close to taxi rank, shops, tram line and walking distance to China town and all the shops. Room was lovely and clean. Bed was amazing. Breakfast we had downstairs once and it was lovely- unlimited coffee and tea downstairs all day and night. Staff were lovely No faults at all Thank you for a lovely stay:)

Absolutely loved Chancellor! Great value for money in the heart of SF! Easy to access all the sites. Great size room. Bed was AMAZING - so comfortable. Some street noise at night but ear plugs provided. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We stayed here for four nights to celebrate our second wedding anniversary in late December. We booked a two-room suite (bedroom, living room, and two bathrooms). The architecture is historic, like you'd expect from a hotel that is 100 years+ old but the room has all of the modern conveniences: super comfortable high bed with high thread count sheets and...

I really like this hotel. The rooms werent massive (but it's San Fran). It was cozy, comfortable with some old world charm, really nicely decorated and had a wonderful bath. Location was very central to Union square.

Our two day stay at the Chancellor was everything we needed, wrapped up in a small, comfortable hotel. Every employee was pleasant and helpful, areas and rooms spotless, and location perfect. The bed was comfortable, and the optional "pillow menu" was a nice touch. Rooms were small, but perfect for two people. Location is a convenient half block from Union...

I love this hotel. It's classy, it has no frills, the rooms aren't huge but they are big enough and they have a pre-war charm. The price and the location are the best aspects of this hotel. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel for first timers to San Fran. The area isn't super...

We will be staying here again. They have a pillow menu. Pick which one you want they deliver. It's located across from union square and the cable cars runs & stops right in front of the hotel. The rooms are small but the location makes up for it. We also got a 2 for 1 drink coupon for the hotel...

Room was clean, quaint & had great beds. For the price point we were very happy. Location is absolutely amazing. Staff was friendly. Only thing I would recommend is not to get a room close to the mechanics that are on the roof adjacent to some rooms. We were on the 4th floor, facing mechanicals on a roof approx. located...

Staying right in the heart of San Francisco was our objective, but we were a little shocked at how expensive it can be. The Chancellor wasn't our first choice, but it turned out to be a great one. The location couldn't be better. Staff were welcoming and keen to assist, the rooms were well maintained and the bath was a...

My wife and I spent 5 very enjoyable nights at the chancellor as part of our honeymoon in December. Can't say enough good things about the hotel, its location and its staff. The staff were very helpful and responded to all requests for assistance promptly. The location is brilliant (in close proximity to shops and restaurants) and our room had...
