This is just the most wonderful B&B/guesthouse - loved every minute of our 3 night stay. F on the fabulous breakfasts to the evening canapés & wine, and everything in between. The service was quietly efficient, friendly and unobtrusive - but immaculate. It's so great to spend time in a lovely older building but with all the creature comforts we...

Good location for restaurants, shopping with easy access on foot. The rooms have gas fireplaces which warm up the room nicely, especially when it is cold and foggy. There are a variety of breakfast choices.

Beautiful hotel at the heart of San Francisco. Staff is very helpful and kind, and rooms are very comfortable. Just some blocks away from Union Square and numerous transportation systems. It's a great place to stay in SFO.

We are so pleased to have discovered this delightful, quaint hotel. Our room was small but clean and comfortable with a cozy gas fireplace. Riding the ancient elevator (which functioned as well as more modern conveyances) was a step back in time. Breakfast is far above the typical "breakfast included" fare. The hotel does the evening cocktail hour far better...

Old French style right down to the 19th century lift and wallpaper. Helpful friendly staff. Close to town centre and relatively easy access to sights. Easy Über service for transportation. Only flaw is their breakfast. Same thing every day and nothing healthy except a boiled egg.

We arrived in San Francisco in the rain and came up to our room with the cozy fire burning. This was our second stay at Petite Auberge and it was even more perfect this time. They think of everything, from the 5:00 wine reception where you can meet fellow guests and get revived from a day of walking to cookies...

Great hotel centrally located - easy walking distance to transport and central downtown SF regions. Lovely hotel with older style theme. Bed comfy. Bathroom rather small. Free breakfast was delicious. Afternoon tea treats with wine were very welcome. Only downside was noises within hotel carry very easily (building is older) - can hear people upstairs on floorboards and outside room....
