My son and I read all the reviews before our trip, and I can now say that all the five star reviews are believable and not an exaggeration. ARL is an incredible place, and Ron, Sharon, Mike, Ken, all the guides, and staff were exceptional. Ken and the other pilots met us, and the other guests, in King Salmon grabbed...

It's nice to know that our anglers notice the staff in the background, such as the mechanic or dishwasher. Some of our support staff never get to meet our customers. Without their contributions our lodge would not run smoothly. It would certainly affect a customers trip if there's a boat motor out of whack or a generator not running properly....

Recently my wife and I were fortunate enough to spend a week at the Alaska Rainbow Lodge. The Lodge is located in a very remote, pristine untouched wilderness area. The Lodge and the property that the ARL is located on is exceptionally well maintained. All of the facilities at the ARL are top notch! Ron and Sharon, ( the owners...

Our goal at Alaska Rainbow Lodge has always been, and will continue to be - to make each angler's trip the very best we can given our location and a (sometimes) uncooperative Mother Nature. Thirty-two year in business and we hope we have a grasp on what an angler is looking for in a luxury wilderness sport fishing trip. Thanks...

Just got back from 5 days of fishing at Alaska Rainbow lodge with my dad and 2 friends. All in the group have extensive experience in destination fly fishing trips ranging from the Gulf Coast, Mountain West, Canada, New Zealand, Mexico, Central America, Caribbean, ect. so upon booking the trip (after considering several lodges) our expectations were high. After the...

We are serious about our fishing program. Our goal is to find the best fishing possible throughout the season and put our anglers on productive waters for the species they want to target. Do we get fooled? Occasionally. Mother Nature is fickle and the fish are always on the move. Weather is always a factor for both the floatplanes and...

Our trip exceeded all of our expectations, from our arrival at King Salmon all the way to our departure. You treated us like Royalty. All of the guides were knowledgeable and patient and put us in the right places every time. Words cannot express our gratitude for an unbelievable experience. We look forward to our next trip.

Every one of our anglers are special to us. You have the choice of hundreds of fishing lodges in Alaska. I always wonder how one does decide which place to choose. When an angler books with us, we make sure they receive the very best our staff can offer. Word of mouth is our best form of advertising, so we...

My brother and I recently stayed at Alaska Rainbow Lodge and what a great experience. Although we travel and fish often, I would truly place this up there with the very best. The only way I know how explain it is Authentic. Staff: the staff is incredible, they go the extra mile and do so because they care about service...

It's refreshing to read the description listed in this review. It's a lot of hard work to keep a lodge running smoothly. We hope our anglers never see any of the situations that occur on a regular basis. We only want them to have a great time with no worries except where to go fishing the next day. Thanks for...

I am very impressed with the entire experience. I have fished Alaska several times before but never have I enjoyed such an amazingly well run operation, outstanding meals and the level of personal service that Ron,Sharon and Mike offer every guest. Every days fishing adventure was a fabulous day as the guides know the rivers and know the fish even...

It's a pleasure to host anglers that truly have a great time, fish biting or not. This trip was a birthday gift from one brother to another. These two will have memories that will last a lifetime.

My husband and I had what we thought was the trip of a lifetime last week at Rainbow Lodge....but now we're thinking we must go back! I was the only lady guest at the Lodge but was warmly welcome by staff & fellow guests. We caught char, chum, sockeye, our limit of silver, grayling, and rainbow using a variety of...

It's always nice to hear a ladies point of view for this type of trip. Alaska Rainbow Lodge hosts quite a few couples, and even have single ladies that fish with us. Thanks for your review. We look forward to fishing with you again.

Saying this is one well run fishing lodge is an understatement! The accommodations were excellent with clean and well appropriated rooms with private baths. The food was first class. However, what makes this lodge special is the staff. From the pilots, to the guides, to the house staff and to the grounds keeper all were courteous and highly competent. My...

Alaska Rainbow Lodge hosts quite a few anglers traveling by themselves. There's no extra charge for parties of one. We offer duplex cabins that have single occupancy sleeping rooms. You don't have to share your room with a stranger, although no ones a stranger after the first day or so! We try our best when hiring our staff for the...

Have just spent six magnificent days at ARL. Not a regular to TripAdvisor but felt I needed to critique this incredibly well run and managed fishing lodge. It's always nice to hear how much one of our customers enjoys their stay with us here at Alaska Rainbow Lodge. Hard to say who enjoyed it more - this couple or my staff. We had a wonderful experience getting to know them.

We choose the 3rd week in June because we wanted to target rainbows, not salmon. We were told that the rainbow fishing would be excellent on single handed rods BEFORE the salmon started running. Unless you wanted to troll the Kvichak with two spey sink tips attached to your line, the chances of catching a nice rainbow were about 5%....

We provide envelopes for guest comments the day before they leave our lodge. Paul A's comments were, and I quote direct from his own writing, "The guides did a super job - all were personable and professional.
