We spent two nights at the Bar Harbor Campground this past week-end. I was a little worried about the "first come first served" no reservation policy, but it wasn't an issue. There were plenty of open sites of all types to choose from. We chose a nice wooded site with W/E in the "T" row. Very quiet, and felt private,... More

We've stayed previously at Blackwoods Campground in Acadia National Park, but this time decided to try a private CG. Bar Harbor CG got great reviews, and for a non-serviced site (no electric, etc.) was only $2 more than a site at Blackwoods. The location is very good, only 10 minutes by car to downtown Bar Harbor, and about 5 minutes... More

Great campground. It is extremely clean. It has wifi, laundry, small camp store, heated pool, electricity, water and sewer hookups. There are wooded and non wooded sites with several that are ocean view. Right next to the campgrounds are a bbq place, ice cream, and mini golf. It is within 10 minutes of bar harbor and Acadia. I cannot say... More

Amazing campground! Reasonably priced, with wifi, laundry and hot showers. Located near the Bar Harbor Visitor's Center and the entrance for Jordan Pond and the 4 Mile Cadillac trail. Not too close to the longer Cadillac trail but was worth staying in and it was not too crowded. Would definitely recommend. HOWEVER the shower was scalding hot and I could... More

We have stayed at Bar Harbor Campground every year for almost 9 years. We love the lay-out. The choice of sites is quite varied. There are wooded secluded sited for tenters or Rvr's and more open densely spread out sites some with a view of beautiful Frenchmans Bay. The bath houses are not luxurious but are clean. The laundry facility... More

We prefer staying in State Camp grounds when we travel because they tend to give you lots of room, lots of trees, and quiet. However, when we traveled to Maine we couldn't find a state camp ground with electric at the site. We LOVED staying at Bar Harbor Campground. They have everything the state camp grounds have to offer plus... More

We camped here in Late September for 8 days. Love the wooded privacy sites although they also have limited ocean front and other open sites. There's a free shuttle that takes us right from the campground to the various points of Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. Super convenient. My husband had to go away on a business trip during our... Very nice and neat campground. No reservations accepted and cash only. A wide variety of site types. Friendly and knowledgeable staff very willing to help us with the site seeing opportunities in the area.

We rolled into this campground on the Friday of Labor Day Weekend with no reservations - which worked out well because they don't take reservations. We were given a map and told to go drive around and pick out the spot that looked best to us. I loved that. We found a pair of wooded, shady tent sites that were... More

We have been coming to Bar Harbor campground for 18+ years. The original Robbins family is still involved in the day to day running of the campground. Craig and his very capable crew of associates keep the cg running smoothly. From the friendliness to the cleanliness and far beyond the experience is what has campers returning year after year. Convenient... More
