We stayed at the cottages in September and it was perfect! Clean, decorated cute and we had an amazing view of the lake across the street. We loved the screened in porch to sit outside. The location was close to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. We would definitely consider staying there again.
Even though there is no direct access to the waterfront, it's a very quiet and peaceful location. It's not far from all the attractions and has a nicely stocked kitchen with complimentary coffee and tea. The bed was comfy, everything was very neat and clean, and the heater worked like a dream. Staff was warm and friendly. I would highly recommend this super cute cottage! The only thing I didn't like was there was only one tiny trash can in the bathroom. We weren't there long enough or I would have asked about a larger trash can for the kitchen. I'm sure they would have accommodated, if I would have asked.
We made a one night visit to Bar Harbor. We were lucky to find one night available at the Bar Harbor Cottages. We stayed in cabin 6. JoAnn was so helpful and we felt like we had a personal connection for all our needs. The cottages are very clean and nicely appointed. The designers have achieved the difficult task of sustaining the charm and feel of a time gone by but making the cabins feel updated and fresh. There was an apple tree just outside our door that was covered with apples. There was a fire pit and corn hole. You will find a generous supply of coffee, sweetners and creamer. The small kitchen has a small refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven. Dishes, cookware, flatware and utensils are supplied. Of course, all linens are provided. This is a great place to have a comfortable night's sleep in a cozy, clean and nostalgic cottage.…
Bar Harbor Cottages is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy the area in Mt Desert ME. The little kitchen is well-stocked and the place was very clean. Comfy bed, very nice operators. Very easy to find and easy parking, too.
My friend and I stayed in one of the two bedroom cottages and we could not have been more pleased with our experience! Everything was freshly painted and well kept. The kitchenette had the right amount of accessories to make breakfasts and prep lunches for our hikes. Only 15 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor and 20 from the Acadia National Park but secluded enough for a country feel. Staff was warm and friendly and let us check in a few minutes early. Easy parking.
