My husband and I were looking forward to getting away on a vacation. I googled Bar Harbor and saw the website for the Cleftstone Manor and thought it the place for us. We have a passion for the romantic 19th Century time period. Cleftstone as built in 1881. We were so happy with our accomodations, we stayed two more days...

My husband and I spent a long weekend here for our 11th anniversary. Anne, the owner, gave us a tour of the manor and told us all about the inn and interesting bits of information about Bar Harbor. The room was very nice, clean and breakfast was spectacular! Everyone at the inn was friendly and helped direct us to sites...

Enjoyed the Cleftstone Manor on 10/28-10/30, 2006. Our room was tastefully appointed, and very comfortable. The bathroom was roomy, and the shower had plenty of hot water! The common areas of the hotel - i.e., the living room, the veranda and the breakfast room - were beautifully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed hors d'oevres by the gas fireplace, and morning...

I stayed in Bar harbor Maine for the week of October 16-22nd. My main focus was to see Acadia National Park. I managed to see and hike and drive through the park two days but some poor weather permitted the extent of the park experience. However the Clefstone Inn was amazing! for $85 per night I stayed in a beautiful...

Anymore, my husband and I prefer the atmosphere, friendliness and personal attention of a B&B to a hotel and the Cleftstone Manor did not disappoint. Anne and her staff did a top notch job making us feel welcome and taking care of whatever we needed. They were so helpful especially giving us information about local restaurants and things to see....

After our orignal vacation had to be cancelled, we quickly booked a room with this beautiful B&B after scanning the internet. We stayed in the largest and most beautiful room. The Cleftstone Room. We were blown away. Huge. Stunning.Comfortable. The breakfasts were perfect. The staff was amazing. The entire manor was spotless. We loved it. The only thing that bothered...

We spent a week in Bar Harbor near the end of August. This was our second visit to Cleftstone Manor, and was every bit as enjoyable as our previous stay. Our room on the third floor was spacious, quiet, and very clean, with interesting period furnishings. The mattress was perfect. Between natural room ventilation and the air conditioning, we were...

We wished we had stayed for longer. A great Inn in a good location. The owner - Anne did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. The social hour with refreshments held every day is also a good way to make new friends. The whole Inn and especially the bedrooms are to a very high standards and the beds...

The staff at the Cleftstone manor was high quality, paid attention to details, and was very conscientious. They accomodated our need for early morning breakfasts and seemed genuinely friendly (this is coming from Midwesterners, to boot ). The breakfasts were amazing; they had a starchy and a protein option every day, and they were able and enthusiastic to provide for...

We spent 3 nights at Cleftstone Manor while visiting Bar Harbor. I highly recommend a trip to this fantastic area. It's breathtaking in it's beauty, history and charm. I chose the Cleftstone Manor based on reviews, availability, price. In hindsight, I might've paid a bit more to stay elsewhere. It is by no means an unpleasant place to stay, in...
