When we were planning our first visit to Bar Harbor and searched for the perfect accommodations, all the great reviews about Cleftstone Manor stood out. We had to find out for ourselves if they are true. And they are!! Such a lovely, historic inn with a comfortable bed, out-of-this world breakfasts, and the social hour made our experience that much...

Enjoyed two nights and two lovely breakfast here. Right off the highway but not in downtown. Proprietors were friendly and accommodating. We used the a/c for white noise and slept soundly. Fairly close to the park entrance and downtown. Parking is very tight downtown but easy here.

Anne does it right in her clean beautiful bed and breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff with comfortable, casual accommodations in a restored "cottage" that brings you back in time. Stay and enjoy a scrumptious breakfast.

Had a room on the top floor. Smaller room but it was perfect for us, nice quiet at night and great piano music at the Great Room at the Bluenose Inn next door. AC worked well and water pressure was great. The price was right, and breakfasts were incredible, great fuel for days spent biking and hiking in the park....

It is a very cozy and personable sort of place. They made us feel as if we were guest at a friends house. Everyone was very friendly from the host to the guest. The breakfast was off the chain, phenomenal! With a breakfast like this, you have to eat but twice a day..

My daughter and I stayed for four lovely nights. The location is great, easy to get to and a short distance to Acadia, downtown or excursions. Although a short distance the stay is quiet and refreshing. The house is beautiful, breakfast is five star and the staff is more than accommodating. The owner is hands on and has great knowledge...

The Cleftstone Manor was a wonderful place to call home on a spectacular "surprise" trip to Bar Harbor! Bob, Anne and the rest of the staff were so kind helpful! We enjoyed our private, historical room as well as the amazing breakfasts served each morning. This was a delightful stay and one we will never forget.

We stayed there for 2 days and it couldn't have been better. Anne & Bob were very welcoming and we enjoyed the evening discussions in the sun room. We had a first floor room which was nice. Anne did a great job with my wife's dietary restrictions. Would definitely stay there again.

Cleftstone is an interesting historical B&B. It`s heavy on chintz and very Victorian, with interesting touches like late-19th century dresses and dolls displayed in corners. Our 9-year-old was slightly creeped out by the dummy holding a tray of mints on one of the landings. We had the Warden Bates suite on the top floor of the servants` wing, which suited...

We would like to thank Anne, Bob, Coco, and the staff for a relaxing, highly enjoyable stay in Bar Harbor. The house is beautifully appointed, clean, and hospitable. Anne and Bob obviously care very much for the comfort and pleasure of their guests, spending ample time with each one during the breakfast (fabulous entrees), and social hours, where Anne chats...
