On a rainy windy Saturday night after a 5 hour drive from Boston we were greeted at the front desk by Marilyn. She got us checked in and gave us a map of the town along with recommendations of good places to eat. For the next 2 nights we enjoyed staying in our comfortable room. Most of all the close...

Stayed here for 3 nights. Good size, well decorated and comfortable room with fridge and coffee making facilities right in the centre of Bar Harbor. The inclusive continental breakfast offered a good choice of options that should ensure there is something for everyone.

Dear dndeurotraveller, Thank you so much for posting this kind review to share your experience with other travelers. As you noted, some of our guests do prefer the 1st floor due to convenience or difficulty with stairs, as we do not have an elevator. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, and hope you'll visit us again should you...

We didn't have a plan for a place to stay when we arrived in Bar Harbor, but when I saw this facility I said to myself, "This is where I want to stay". They gave us AAA discount and the rate was reasonable for a downtown motel. We could walk to everything we needed, parking was free and the staff...

Comfortable room. Pleasant staff. Continental breakfast was just right. This location is great if you want to walk instead of drive to the restaurants and shops. A very short ride to the majestic Acadia National Park. Would definitely stay here again

This in-town motel is a great choice in Bar Harbor. After we arrived I parked the car and didn't have to move it until we left town. Everything was within walking distance. We found the motel clean and quiet. The continental breakfast was an unexpected bonus. You can't beat the price. This motel is best for folk who plan to...

Our first time staying in Bar Harbor and we were very pleased that we selected the Villager as our accommodation. Its location is OUTSTANDING; everything is within walking distance (well...everything but Acadia National Park, which is close by...). The Villager is pretty much a "classic" 2 story motel but is well maintained with good Wi-Fi and a decent "free" breakfast....

As a MDI half marathon runner and hiker the location was perfect. Enjoyed Acadia too. Thank you for a great free breakfast. Towels could be a little larger. Parking in front of room was very convenient.

The Bar Harbor Villager worked for us. We arrived, checked in, unpacked, set up and were ready to go in no time. Room and amenities all worked. Checkout was a breeze. We've stayed here before and will again.

1) Excellent value: Location, location, location! The motel is located in the heart of Bar Harbor -- within walking distance of everything, including a grocery store and the water front. We received a discounted rate for running a local marathon, but even without the discount, the rates are very reasonable. Rate includes complimentary breakfast (more on that below), and there...

Finding nearly all accomodation in Bar Harbor fully booked we were lucky to find that this motel had a vacancy. OK is probably the best description. Clean, comfortable and conveniently located. Good WiFi. The on site parking is a bonus. Cold buffet breakfast, taken in a hut, was poor. Not a bad experience, but certainly not memorable.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are so glad to hear that you found your room to be clean and comfortable, and our location convenient to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. I am wondering if you might be confusing our breakfast with that of another accommodation, as it is served in a separate building...
