I rented this unit for twp months and paid $300 deposit 6 months ahead of arrival. I asked about his cancellation policy, said he didn't have one, however if I needed to cancel because of medical reasons he would refund the deposit. I did have to cancel and got a letter from my doctor stating i should not travel at...

Makaha Surfside Condos, dec2014 to Jan2015. After staying for several years in Waikiki, I drove to this area and fell in love with the beaches and local people. Waianae has several grocery stores, a couple fast food places and Starbucks which is a few kms from condo. Retail shopping such as Target in Kapolei was close by, as well as...

I just arrived home on the mainland and already miss the Makaha Surfside. I have stayed at the property three times now for vacation and am already looking forward to going back. The last two trips to Oahu I rented unit B302 from Liah. The one bedroom one bath unit is compact but functional. Most nights I didn’t even sleep...

We stayed here for an entire month on vacation and we have no complaints. If you are looking for luxury and high end this is not your place, if you are looking for an affordable area with comfort and an exceptional view this is it. We stayed in building B on the third floor. The grounds are well kept, we...

We spent a month at Makaha Surfside. The area is not touristy, so there are few stores and facilities for tourists but it's between some of the most beautiful beaches on Oahu. Makaha State Beach Park is 5 min. by car or half an hour walking distance, for example. The property has two well-maintained pools but to me the best...

My wife and I have lived here 7 years. I have been all over this Island and I can not fine a single condo as close to the water and with as much protection for their cars as MSS. Our cars are on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the parking garage. There are issues here as with any condo...

Security is a joke. Drugs are sold here. Kids run around the hallways. The pool is used to baby sit there children. When you call with a problem, the security might get around to checking on it. There are a few good security. You are to have key fob to get in the gate, but that does not matter because...

Where do I even begin? Security is a joke. Most of the security staff is polite enough. However, they are not here to provide security for us, as evidenced by how many bikes the "bike bandit" was able to steal (among other things), but rather to enforce the pages and pages of random rules. If you are just visiting, you...

“Building A has the best ocean views. The higher the floor, the better the view.”
Phe2014, 19 Jan 2014 | Read review
“2nd 3rd floors at building 330 to 344 best views. 4th floor even better but no elevator to the penthouse condos. 1st floor is good but no view of ocean however; there is easy access to the lagoon on the 1st floor for paddle boarders and buggy boarders. All the condos are good but only 400 square feet. Close to farrington highway so a little noisy. We sleep next to the ocean. Only surf sounds there and I have always loved that sound. The lagoon is very safe for moderate swimmers, protected by a shore break but no life guard.”

“Building A has the best view, although I don't think you can see it from the first or second floors. But the third and fourth floor view is wonderful. I assume the next building over is B and their view is good, too. But when you get to the other end of the complex, you are actually overlooking the high school. And the elevators only go to the third floor.”
