My husband and I decided to book Hawaii's Hidden Hideaway in Kailua for our vacation. We have been to Oahu 2 other times but decided to stay in Kailua this last time we went. I was so very pleased with HHH, and the location was awesome. I loved Kailua and was happy that we didn't stay in the hustle and... More

When I looked into booking a B&B for our 20th anniversary trip to Oahu, this HHH came up in the top 5 on TA. It's my own fault for not looking more deeply into the reviews. I initially only wanted to book for a few nights- half our trip on Honolulu and half in Kailua. Janice, the owner, advised me... More

We would like to address their concerns, and it is difficult to correct things after the fact. If guests tell us before had, we will do everything to make them comfortable. We were sorry that an unexpected requirement caused us to be away during their visit. This was unforeseen by us at the last minute. To guarantee a reservation we... More

Great location, blocks to the beach and hiking...we stayed in the suite and our friends stayed in the other rooms. Janice is lovely and had supplied fruit and goodies for breakfast and snacking as well as a lot of info about the area. If you are planning on staying, it is hot in the rooms and extra fans and windows... More

We would like to address their concerns. We work hard to make your experience pleasurable. We try to furnish you with lots of information about the area so we are happy that this helps our guests. During nat season, we ask the guest not to leave lights on throughout the night as it will attack the nats. If people turn... More

When I booked this B&B, it was rated #1 in Kailua on Trip Advisor. I don't know how it received this rating. We stayed in the Bamboo Room and found it very cramped. We washed and drained our breakfast dishes in the bathroom, there is no kitchenette. There are pots and pans in cupboard in bedroom, but since there is... More

we strive to create a home atmosphere with privacy. the kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, hot plate and all the dishes send pots and pans needed. by law we can not provide a Stove nor can a sink be located in the bedroom. the walk to the beach is less than a 1/4 mile. upon arrival... We found HHH via VRBO and chose it over 2 other properties that were available. We found the location worked well for us, we initially appreciated the fruit, juices and pastries that were waiting for us in our room, and the proprietor seemed thoughtful in trying to provide many little comfortable touches. However, the decor and furnishings are seriously dated,... More

I just got back from a 6 night stay at Hawaii's Hidden Hideaway, and I just read the TA reviews--they seemed to cluster around 5 and 1--either folks loved it, or hated it. Well, my husband and I loved it. I will give the negatives first--the reasons it did not merit 5 stars--the bathroom sink had some soap residue on... More

Pics of this place are very flattering! We were very disappointed by this place. Food given by the owner were past their use-by date, jaccuzzi was full of algae, and decoration is very old fashion... not romantic at all. The place was not very comfortable. The place was clean, and the situation near-by Lanikai beach is exceptionnal.
