This is my favorite island as it is not commercialized and it truly is a getaway away from everything. Beautiful beaches and great places to explore with no crowds. Very quiet and peaceful. There is no place like Molokai.
This is the closest condo complex to the beach on the west side of Molokai. this is the old sheraton complex and their units are run down and not occupied. Some people do not like the rundown part of the complex. the pool is great and right the beach walk with a ocean view and lounge chairs. There is a convience store on the property that is open 7 days a week. All of the condos have a ocean view and a short walk to the beach. Covered lani's . Kool old school condos, with very nice groomed grounds.
Old Hawaii ambiance. Ocean is too rough to swim, local surf beach, this time of year. Pool is very cold. Some great walks on the abandoned golf course. BBQ is a five minute walk away. In it’s glory days, this was a Sheraton property, but the hotel hasn’t operated since somewhere around 2000, but is locked up and still standing. Sort of eerie. However, the Condo. is clean and attractive.
The ancient Maya God Ossian haunts the Isle. of Molokai according to the natives and antiquity. There's been numerous disappearances attributed to it. One thing everyone can't miss is the White Noise. Previous explorers have been deterred.
We stayed in Cottage 2A (vrbo58387) right on the ocean. A few steps to the deserted beach where Hawaiian monk seals sunned themselves most days. The sound of the waves and the blues and greens of the ocean was mesmerizing. There is no noise from cars or any traffic. You can't find this kind of peace and quiet many places these days. Don't come here if you are a party animal. You'll be disappointed! But if you enjoy getting away from it all, this is fabulous. Our cottage 2A was spacious, with high ceilings, tropical fans and island furniture. It was very clean, had a washer dryer, a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable bed. We enjoyed the large lanai which had lounge chairs and a nice dining table for a sunset meal. We fell in love with this place and will be back.
